I certainly remember watching the highlights of one of the games (though I won't say which so as not to give clues away) but I can't think when it was or who played. Ormondroyd seems a possible candidate because of his height and my second answer is going to be Steve Walsh - I have a vague recollection of him donning the gloves in a youtube video too.

Nope none of those try again. And well its the only two that I can remember so if there is anymore that totally screws my question up.
