All of our goals this season have been from set pieces or scrappy

I know you don’t get extra points through ripping a team to shreads but if you think about it, this season we’ve only really scored one ‘Classic Leicester City’ goal in the league and that was the second against Arsenal. The rest have been headers from corners, six yard out scrambles and penalties. Maybe this is a reflection on our style of play in that we don’t cause teams enough problems going forward.

This is "Nugent only scores from penalties" all over again. Goals are goals however they are scored.

Some well worked goals v Sheff Utd, Okazaki was good v Liverpool too.

What bothers me most is that we don't have shots and keepers are never worked.

 

Let's look back. 

 

Bournemouth... No shot until Gray long ranger. That was the only one on target all game. Embarrassing that stat is. 

 

Liverpool.... Missed penalty and two goals, Mignolet made a good save from a corner too, so fair enough in this game. 

 

Huddersfield.. One shot on target in whole game. The penalty. Didn't threaten and keeper didn't have a hard afternoon 

 

Chelsea... Scored a penalty. Can anyone else remember Courtois making another save?? 

 

Man Utd away.... Can't remember De Gea touching the ball

We are totally totally terrible at the minute. 

 

Results have been average at best but the performances have been heart breakingly bad. We should be glad we're finding a way to score goals considering only palace have faced more shots on our goal than us.

 

Unfortunately we'll probably be in the relegation zone after the next round of matches.

Yet no one outside the top 7, have scored more than us! I bet palace supporters would give their left ball for a scrappy or set piece goal about now.

If we aren't consistently creating decent chances then we aren't going to score enough goals, we can't rely on fortuitous goals, set pieces and penalties

It's almost like, the better the chance, the worse job we have done of finishing it.  That even includes one or two by Vardy.
