That's when I wanted Newell here, having done well at Luton. They beat us at home too as I recall..... I recall him having trouble with a female linesman... he said something sexist I think... dunno what he's up to now.

 

Luton had a decent side back then but their better players left... Howard, Nicholls, Spring...

Gary Megson. Coach at West Brom. Guilty of some of the most negative and boring defensive football on the planet. Really found his level with Pulis. Apparently shouts at the players all the time and treats them like kids.

Said a woman couldn't be a linesman because it's not park football. Basically did Keys and Gray 5 years before they got slaughtered.

 

Moved to Grimsby, got sacked after having a fight with his chairman and suing him.

I think he was at Leeds with Boothroyd when the latter became our manager.

 

Moved back to Luton afterwards.

It feels as if Fryatt last played a good while ago, in particular.
