Makes me feel better? About what?

Have our support become that precious that a new manager appointment of a tried and tested top level manager upsets them?

Yes, & it's utterly pathetic. (the reaction, that is)

Ten years ago yesterday we were abandoned by Gary Megson after only 41 days because Bolton Wanderers were a more attractive club than us.

lol Haha, yeah, remember when he came onto the pitch with the mic and had a go at us

as he thought we didn't want him 'cus he'd been at Forest.

Had nobody told him it was because we thought he was a cvnt?

It's pathetic to not to agree with the board's selection of manager?

But you're agreeing that you didn't want Megson and hated him before he'd even been here 41 days?

Seems like hypocrisy to me.

Define tried and tested? He was sacked after one season. Obviously not a roaring success.

Even we were just 1 wrongly disallowed goal away from finishing above them.

In order:

1) No, the wording people are using, the outright condemnation based on little more than rumour and half-truths, writing him off before the fact, the childish angry language - THAT'S pathetic.

2) I challenge you to find one word from me about Megson ANYWHERE  on this site.

3) Don't call me a hypocrite, you misanthrope.

I difine tested top league manager by his success in France as well as his season in Southampton.

Why would you want to go out your way to argue with fellow fans that he is crap? He is our manager now. Time to dry our eyes and get behind him.

And yet he would have kept us up, unlike Hollowhead.

What a remarkable view you have of an alternate universe. Do you have special glasses or something, or a machine for dimensional jumping? Whatever, that's a real skill.

Can you tell me what's happening on the planet where Jade Goody never died of cancer and Prince Philip didn't murder Diana? Did they have a People's Princess fight-off? I bet Jade won, she looks like she could swing a fist. All that momentum.

Arguing over the past is as redundant as arguing about the future. None of it matters. Even now doesn’t exist. I’m happy to report that Megson was a figment of my imagination, which equally does not exist. Just ask my wife.

I tried, but she didn't exist....

You're an odd one.

I remember under Megson we were dull as hell, but difficult to beat. Think we only lost game under him, granted we drew a lot and only won 1 but we were tough to beat. Under Holloway we were just rubbish in every element of the game and we conceded loads.

Drew 4, won 1, lost 2 - average of one point per game. Take that form with the 5 points from 4 games before he arrived and we'd have finished on 47 points, 5 fewer than we ended with. Don't know how you can look at his form and see it as we'd have stayed up

I must have been looking through ginger tinted specs then! I just remember us being much more difficult to beat under Megson than Holloway. Can't say with certainty either way and is the most obsolete argument ever!

We were. Megson lost 29% of his games, Holloway lost 45%. Just that Megson won 14% and Holloway won 29%. We were dour under Megson-  difficult to beat but never going to win enough to stay up, Holloway we were easy to beat, but good enough to get some wins and give ourselves a chance.
