I remember last season someone on here made up a link to a completely random player from the Eastern European lower leagues in the Transfer section of FT, next day it appeared in the Mercury

They do report all the links, but they don't hide from that and say it's been reported - they're not saying it's from them or they think it's happening.

But when those links are from completely unreliable sources with no sort of evidence to back up even a half-truth to it, it's a problem. It's obviously just a case of filling up their pages with false information for the sake of gettings views to increase their ad revenue - at no point did they make it clear in the article that their "source" was an anonymous poster on FoxesTalk.

I've never seen them do that, so I must have missed it if they did, but I agree if they're doing the above then that's not good.
