Well, couple of turd games in a row now, footballing wise at least.

When we had Drago in, our football looked better, more controlled, less on edge and we had a run of 5 clean sheets too...so why has Morgan strolled straight back in? I mean, how old is Morgan now? How mobile is he really? Also...did Kasper having the armband while Morgan was out pay dividends?

Similar situation with Amartey/Simpson

When Simpson and Wes came back in last week we went straight back to hoofball...can Puel not see this?

As for James strolling back in ahead of Iborra/Silva...

So what's going on? Player power? Poor management? Things being seen on the training ground to say that Puel is making the right decisions?

I'll pass on this one something the team seem incapable of.

We looked great against Palace and Fleetwood eh. Iborra had some stinkers.

This. Look at the results before and after he came into the team.

To be fair everyone was poor against palace. He did have some off games, but he had a good few where he looked a top top player.

There's more to the team than Iborra, I know that sound contradictory but he's just so calm and his ball retention is great, something we're lacking at the moment.

That’s not the Iborra I’ve seen, I think he looks nervy at times and gives the ball away very cheaply!

Don’t know what it is, could be all of the above.

The manager has sent a negative message out, there is no place up for grabs for those not getting in the side, unless there is injuries, and when you do cover, even though they play good enough, you will still be drop for the first 11.

He has players not doing it on the pitch, but is pretty ridged in his selection, so for me the under performers ain’t bother their places are safe, and those not playing, why bother, which creates a very negative squad.

They were a long time ago, I keep saying James isn't the answer but I'm sorry Iborra recently gives the ball away far too much, like Sivla today.

I’ve heard ...   that in a foreign press interview, Iborra said there is no team spirit at the club ...    anyone else heard this ? ...   would probably piss CP off ...   and get him dropped ..   but more worryingly, if it was true, that would be very concerning as something like that stems from the manager.

How Matty James is still getting a game I don’t know, as much as I love him and am grateful for the performances he put in the promotion season the bloke looks like he’s towing a caravan, felt like we where playing with 10 men today. Needs to get up with the pace or get out.

He keeps changing positions, today alone he changed 3 starters didn't he? Silva the saviour flopped!

Fair enough at least he showed enough to fail, rather than slipping under the radar like James. But he was still shit, Gray, shit when he comes in.

Attitude is the problem for me, when we need to attack we create problems. No matter who plays, but we have the wrong attitude from the start. It's not a negative formation, it's a tentative attitude.

The Foxestalk syndrome.

Silva became a world beater when he was in the stands, now it's Iborra's turn.

No I don't think he should be frozen out and I think he should be ahead of James but ffs. He wasn't exactly pulling up trees earlier in the season.

You can't say that!!!

Is it only me that's baffled by Diabaté not starting? Obviously he'll need time to adapt and make the step up but he looks a raw talent with bags of potential. Can't see why it'd do any harm, adds a lot of pace and directness to the side too.

In fact, looking at the line-ups prior to KO the last few weeks and I've found myself questioning a lot of what CP is doing, whether its Simpson over Amartey or Morgan waltzing straight back into the side.

How we ended up with Chilwell on the pitch and Albrighton at RB today is quite frankly unbelievable when Dragović, who should be playing every week, is sat on the bench. Surely we need to be looking to the future now?

I'm just hoping we manage to finish in the Top 10 and push on next season. Big transfer window ahead.

One striker at home against two very poor sides, and against a very average side is negative.

The way he and the players are performing, there are times, a lot of the time, we just throw the ball into the box, because they are not good enough to move it through a team prepared to put everyone behind the ball, and we have one in the box, and it doesn’t suit vardy.

The selection is normally negative, nice to  see a couple of changes today.

Simpson- offers nothing offensively and resorts to hoofing.

Left backs do get forward.

albrighton- he only plays for his work rate, and defensive qualities, limited footballer, tends to hoof when pressured on the ball.

Nididi- defensive midfielder.

James- a mr safe, back, sideways, short passes, retains the ball, but has little or no impact offensively.

That basically leaves mahrez and vardy to  create, as gray was ineffective, and even Okazaki doesn’t offer offensively, he links, and defends from the front.

So for me he’s negative, and there is lots of room for positive changes, without being reckless.

We cannot be going in to home games vs dross playing that negative line up. I could almost cope with that midfield 3 if Albrighton wasn't the 3rd attacker and Diabate or another forward was in. It's no surprise we are struggling, confidence and ruthlessness might be a bit lacking right now too but you aren't going to make life easy for yourselves with negative selections and football like that. It's not like we are very good at defending anyway. We can never keep it tight and pinch a goal, we are at our most dangerous when we play on the front foot. Puel had got us varying our play brilliantly, now he's selecting really dour teams but with no more defensively solidity and way less attacking threat. Awful

Different positions and responsibilities on the pitch I feel will yield different performances and results.

Forgot to mention in the other threads, and I haven't seen many others mention it, but Albrighton was absolutely ****ing dreadful today and has been for MUCH of the season. Don't know why so many on here give him a pass, yes his effort is faultless most of the time but passing is shite, dribbling is shite and for someone who is supposed to be a good crosser, most of the time they are absolute shite. (Like all of his corners today) and as a RB or RWB....it's a no from me.

Get Diabate in. From the start. (Cuz Gray is shit too).

His ball retention stopped being great, that's the issue. He kept giving it away needlessly. If he hadn't done that, he wouldn't have been dropped.

Spot on. As soon as I saw the starting line up I thought "why"? Why play one up front, at home, v Bournemouth?
