what about his dads dog?

Apparently the news source was unable make any pronouncement on the state of his dad's dog.

Behave.

I get that it's not cool to speak ill of the dead, but this revisionist history that occurs every time someone dies makes me cringe.

The ****?

Dude was entertaining people well into his 80s. (think my parents saw him just 3 years ago at demontfort) the hell does a person have to do to be a legend in your eyes?

Wouldn't we all be if we could?

Not really, we all have a responsibility to pay our taxes and play by the rules.

I know one of the inland revenue legal team who prosecuted Dodd in the late 80’s (he’s also a scouser and Liverpool STH).

He’s still angry to this day that Dodd got away with it. The fact the trial was in Dodds home town and he kept making the judge laugh meant the prosecution were fvcked really.

Some of the stories about how Dodd hid his money are bizzare.

He owed more than £1m in tax apparently but the jury forgave him because he’s ‘eccentric’.

Funny man though....

Being funny would have been a start. The fact that your parents found him entertaining is irrelevant, as is his age at the time.

What a beautiful day for knocking on the door of the Kremlin and asking “Is Lenin?”

That proves my point very nicely, I think.

Obviously comedy is very much a personal choice. Wasn't my cup of tea but many people found him funny at places like Blackpool etc.

There are a whole range of unfunny and self righteous cvnt style celebrities/comedians/artists around today who are a lot worse than Ken.

RIP

I once saw one of his shows when I worked at Kilworth House Theatre. Went on for hours and hours, but he had phenomenal stamina considering he would've been 80-odd then.

His funeral has been announced.

It's due to take place on Monday, Tuesday and most of Wednesday.

What a beautiful day for sticking a cucumber through your neighbours letterbox and shouting "the aliens have landed!"

What a beautiful day for shoving a broomstick up Nigel Mansells arse and saying “How’s that for pole position?”

Izzy nicks Ken Dodd's jokes?

That explains everything.

“The man who invented cats' eyes got the idea when he saw the eyes of a cat in his headlights. If the cat had been going the other way, he would have invented the pencil sharpener.”
