I'm sure he'd be a top bloke to sit down with and just have a chat

It’s all rather different from the cut-and-thrust of a Premier League press conference, and Pearson doesn’t look entirely unhappy about that.

Great interview. He sounds happy. Contented.

Still edgy , can’t imagine he would be fun to have a pint with , way to intense

hope he gets them promoted because he deserves some luck

By many accounts (including some posted on here in the past) it's quite the opposite. Away from the cameras and microphones, he's very open and conversational. One of the "lads" if you like.

I’ve heard the same thing. Doesn’t suffer fools though.

Totally the opposite apparently. Enjoys a drink and real good laugh away from the cameras.

Heard all that about Roy Keane years ago and when a small group of us spent time with him he was just awful, worse than on camera lol

as I haven’t met NP privately I can’t comment so I’ll bow to you guys that have

still so grateful for what he did for the club

Kudos also to FourFourTwo for investing time and money into this. Pearson is hardly glamour material and I doubt any but the most ardent FM players or even Belgian football fans know about OHL, but he's an interesting character with an eventful career to date.

I still find it strange that Pearson has fallen into obscurity after his achievements with us, but he sounds happy about his current situation. Would be fun to see them getting promoted.

Bet he had some stories.

My Aston Villa supporting friend met Martin O’neil at a Q&A and hated the bloke afterwards. Said he was rude, arrogant and didn’t want to interact with the fans at all.

don’t think he’s fallen into obscurity really, pretty common knowledge and it even says in that article that a lot of clubs who went managerless in the year he was “out the game” wanted him to step in but he just wasn’t arsed.

he is a great bloke.

He's a bit different really. I can actually totally believe he fancied something a bit unorthodox even if Leuven specifically wasn't his target.

I expect him to get Leuven into the top tier and keep them there.

To be fair, the Belgian second division is pretty obscure for a man with his track record. As for the other bit, to quote Pearson: " I’d had discussions about several jobs that either didn’t happen for me or weren’t things I was that interested in."

So he was in the running for jobs he didn't get and he got offers from clubs that were not interesting.

To me that tells me that there weren't any high-profile clubs that had him as their first choice.

That and the pull of living abroad, which I can totally understand.

Hope he gets success there in the long run :)

I love Pearson, and to my biased mind he will always be the best City manager ever. I hope he gets OHL promoted and then into the Champion's League. I doubt they would win it, but he deserves the opportunity to try.
