I think that major announcement will relate to a statue to honour those that died if I'm honest, probably with a footnote that it will be incorporated within the regeneration of that area in the long term, along with the stadium expansion.

Leicester relocate tributes to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha
The Foxes host Burnley on Saturday in their first home game since the club’s owner died in a helicopter crash near the King Power Stadium.

Leicester have started the difficult task of moving tributes to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha at the King Power Stadium, as fans raise almost £20,000 for the club’s newly named foundation.

Tributes were left outside the ground following the crash on October 27 which cost the lives of five people, including Foxes chairman Srivaddhanaprabha, 60.

Flowers, shirts and poems have been painstakingly moved by the club and volunteers from outside the North Stand ahead of Saturday’s Premier League visit of Burnley, the first home game since the tragedy.

They have been taken to a designated memorial area close to the accident site on the other side of the stadium.

Some will be kept for a pitchside display for Saturday’s match while others will be collected and preserved with the intention to incorporate them into the planned redevelopment and expansion of King Power Stadium.

Players and staff flew to Bangkok after Saturday’s 1-0 win at Cardiff to attend Srivaddhanaprabha’s funeral and returned on Tuesday.

I wonder if they counted how many there are. I’d love to know.

I reckon almost every club in the 92 was represented, plus all the grass roots clubs that left shirts.

Very touching how they’re keeping them all as well.

I imagine they will eventually have a record of all items and a total.

So impressed with the dignified way everything has been handled, absolutely magnificent, couldn't have been better if they'd had months to plan. Although companies have contingency and disaster plans in place, nothing could've prepared them for what happened and the overwhelming response from people.

Those photos above are just of the ones that were pitch side Saturday I think as I was at the memorial yesterday at 4 pm just as it was being locked up and there are hundreds of scarves and shirts and flags still there. Its open 10-4.. those photos were posted at 4.15 no way they got them all in ...its just an amazing sight

I think the ones in the ground are those with words written on them at least that's what I thought i read as being the one they will retain as they have some meaning to them.

Well you’re wrong, there are dozens with messages on in the memorial area and cable tied to the fence on the walk up.

When it’s finally done all shirts, scarfs, flags, mementoes will be going to the family.

Up at the flower garden where Vichais picture is they have even placed all the candles, cuddly toys etc that were outside the KP, literally everything has been saved. Security chap told me about 60% of the shirts are indoors now but in no order have they been kept.

It’s certainly worth going to spend some time, but you could be up there all afternoon and still not read all the messages. A lot of other football club wreaths are there as well, I saw West Ham and Stokes amongst the flowers.

The low level barriers are all around with scarfs and flags still on them.

Well I was definite so not sure why you needed to make such a strong response.

Some lovely photos you have taken here Good to see the rails are back up as well as when I went Monday all the rails on the right hand side down to the memorial tent as you enter though the gate was lying on their sides

As you rightly say it’s an amazing site I spent a couple of hours just reading all the different messages and reattaching different flags and scarfs that had come loose

Sorry for the maybe stupid question, I have some good photos to add but keeps saying the size is to large, just taken from an I phone...any ideas?

Try using a free program like "format factory" to reduce the size of your photo. :)
