coolhandfox Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 Good chance he finish with his best PL goal total this season. Interesting he's on got 1 assist compared to last year's 10.

We shouldn't pigeon hole our attackers. Harvey has never been one to stay glued to the touchline. He is a much better goal scorer than goal creator.
Foxxed Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 The midfielders are strikers and the wingers are strikers and the strikers are strikers and Mendy is a striker and we score 4 goals a match. Got it. Thanks.

Walshy scored over 60 goals for us. My point is going forward Harvey ( whatever you want to call him) is likely to be our major goal threat. He should get 15 PL goals this season.
rico Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 We'll probably have 3 players in double figures this season, Barnes, Madders and Kel if keeps up his good form...

Vlad the Fox Posted 12 February 2023 Posted 12 February 2023 Fantastic finish for his goal. But what I really liked is how KDH won the ball sprinted out wide to keep it in then play progressed from left to right, back into defence, back out left, central, I think Maddison then slipped him the ball as he was still central from the previous attack, got his head up and finished superbly. Quick pacy football, plenty of movement and destroyed them in about 10/11 passes. 1

You've already forgotten Faes and Souttar's goal contributions?

Yep..I reckon any manager would set that sort of target…For a top half team a player like Barnes should be hitting around maybe a couple over that.. only got 8 to go this season..16 games…

FoxyLeon Posted 13 February 2023 Posted 13 February 2023 Not only is he proving the doubters wrong with his goal return, but against Spurs he was clearly also told to be more of a left wing back when out of Possession. I actually think the fact Kristiansen can and will get forward, means that Barnes is more willing and will be told to defend more. Before, Thomas didn't have the confidence to get so much up, whilst Justin's weak foot meant he was always looking to cut back, whereas now that we're not reliant on Barnes to be our only attacking threat, he can come back and defend. He's basically been our only counter attacking threat for 2-3 seasons, I think the Spurs game showed that previously he was asked not to track back, otherwise we would never have an outlet.
