Really loving modern UK jazz of late. Some great break beat stuff going on and heard this on Gilles Peterston today. Instantly loved it and my mind was blown when I heard it was released in 1973.

This song sounds amazing everytime I hear it. One of the few tracks I never get bored of listening to. Shara Nelson's vocal gets me every time.

Now I know I've posted this before but I had no idea it was  from 1981.  Unbelievable it's 40 years old.

 

For context this was the year than Bucks Fizz sold 4 million copies of this

Pretty sure it was the b side to the single  ( could have been harvest though ) can't remember. 

Dibnt realise at the time what a beautiful song it was. I don't know but there must be a sad meaning in it.
