Guess with a defender like Evans next to him he could be solid?

Pascanu looks the better of the two in this match.

 

He looks calm, mature and has made some key tackles.

Imo Romania are not playing defensive in a deep block like Burnley.. They are attacking Croatia and have looked the more threatening all game.

Instead of paying 35million for Benkovic and Soyuncu we should have spent it on a decent winger and promoted one of Knight/Pascanu/Johnson.

Benk is playing in a very poor defence. But fair play to Pasc. I read a while ago the club rates Knight highly. I hope he gets a look in. Hope he plays well in the preseason.

Yeah have to agree. Benko has not been defensively good at all

VVD would struggle to look good in this Croatian defence.  The other CB looks very poor.  Cannot blame Benko for this fiasco.
