Funny what we all remember differently, probably our age 🤣 . I certainly remember it being sang quite frequently including hand movements. It was a bit more upbeat however than the Jerzy Bud/Leonard Cohen suicide version. Either way I'm used to it now and quite like it personally, certainly far more than some common place meaningless Hey Jude or similar.

When one of the posters mentioned the jiggly hands bit I did remember it being sung. Like you say faster and more upbeat,  in the style of a gang show from It Ain’t Half Hot Mum IMO.

It was ok, I didn’t hate it, and it was far better than the present versions that are being played.

It's literally been a song for years. I've been going 30 years and it's been sung for all that time.

I remember singing WYS thro the 80's in the SK at Filbert Street.

It was faster paced, had more of the hand gestures and sounded great.

IMO todays rendition is dreary and sounds woeful, (As I said in company the other evening, only to find out one of them is was Jersey Budd's cousin. Luckily he laughed and agreed) more like fans are thinking,  "Oh if I have to"

Even now many fans don't know the middle wording order of the song and it gets jumbled up right until the point of the last sentence, when "Oh, I know this bit" comes into their minds and "The whole world smiles with you" becomes the only part that's sung with gusto.

Hurts me say, I'm not a fan of it in todays guise.

Ahhh this all makes sense now. Yes, I do remember the chant, as @ElusiveEdsays it's almost unrecognisable to the original sang in the past which was sang like a speed of an Eminem rap - with "The Leicester" sang at the end.

I agree with others that say the Jersey Budd version is far too slow and they should look at changing the version.

All of the officially recorded versions are pretty rubbish and slow to be honest, the last version is probably about 50 years old. Could do with someone make a decent up tempo version.

Can they not just play the original on x1.5 speed?

Then for a supporter like you I might suggest Spice up your life, Spice Girls.  The simple fact It is our Anthem, either sing it loud and proud or **** off down to Anfield and sing YNWA which is depressing as **** proper sympthy song, from a  club of moronic victim mentally.

Cheers, had forgotten who sung that

I can understand why the Sky broadcasters go to an advert break when our anthem is being sung but you'd hope the Foxes Hub commentator could keep his gob shut and let the listeners hear some of the atmosphere. He talked all over it at the Preston match and probably will tonight. So disrespectful.

Will need a lot of hands as there is a tifo tonight.

I think the club will drop WYS again.

Don't think it played against Sunderland from memory as assume it wont tonight for obvious reasons.

Shame to be honest that we cant fit it in somewhere.
