It’s going to be an interesting season ahead. We should be targeting Europe for sure. The top 6 do talk about us a fair bit which means we are on their minds these days. I think we can upset their apple cart. First..I want to see us start to play an Higher quality of football...sights and targets can be set during the season, not Before....you will only get upset..!! "Expecting " to beat L:pool,or Man.city in the cup..or something just as daft..!! We have never made that top 6 grade,so why the expectancy, now!!! Let's get this team off the ground 1st. .exciting times..yes,but only thoughts IMO,should again be putting marker down, that we CAN 'start ' to compete at the higher end of the PL regularly..!! Any new positive era has to be earnt,we don't want to become a forum or fan-group,that have a high station of being arrogant, expectantly entitled...!!!
Foxxed Posted 6 July 2019 Posted 6 July 2019 For a transfer window two under 23 signings, a promising league one defender and a decent mid table winger isn't amazing but add in Tielemans and a potentially top six winger/striker then it looks good. At the moment we've got the same team we had at the end of last season with an improving Barnes and a better winger.

I agree it is a "good day" But I'm not quite ready to hang out the PL Champions bunting just yet.. Top 6 would be a monumental achievement Ok maybe it was a stretch from myself to compare yesterday to winning the league and the champions league (I think a bit differently now I’ve woken up!) although I didn’t do it 100% directly but the purpose of the post wasn’t to get carried away but more to give credit to the club for the way it’s run when it doesn’t get enough credit imo. I still feel there are exciting times ahead even if it’s not immediately this season. Besides a bit of optimism could do this place some good at times

TheLittleBigMan Posted 6 July 2019 Posted 6 July 2019 I mostly excited about watching us play entertaining football. I felt like I wasn't looking forward to match days at the end of Puel's tenure. I can handle a bad result or two if the football is good to watch. This team will be exciting under Rodgers and I can't bloody wait to get down the KP. Up the foxes.

Spudulike Posted 6 July 2019 Posted 6 July 2019 I'm chuffed that I've got a season ticket. I'd be even more chuffed if the stadium expansion had already happened and more of us could be there.

Guest Col city fan Posted 7 July 2019 Posted 7 July 2019 Christ we’ve come a long way. I’d have assumed they were either mad, or pissed...

My only fear is that people will just expect success now, and will let their displeasure be known in no uncertain terms when we don't sweep the league,

As long as it’s managed properly and I trust Rodgers to keep the players grounded. IF we have a great start however, I can see is all starting to drool a little...
UniFox21 Posted 7 July 2019 Posted 7 July 2019 This is one of the brightest periods in our history. Hoping Rodgers can get the best out of this team and push us into Europe and maybe a cup win (please).
Nick Posted 7 July 2019 Posted 7 July 2019 Percy is excited too! Brendan Rodgers' revolution at Leicester is in full swing and growing sense is they can unsettle established order again https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/07/06/brendan-rodgers-revolution-leicester-full-swing-growing-sense/?utm_source=trollfootball.me&utm_medium=post-body&utm_name=external_link
