sdb Posted 1 August 2019 Posted 1 August 2019 I'm desperate for Barnes to smash it. As has been said, a couple of early goals/assists and I think he'll fly. His head dropped a bit at times towards the end of last season when things weren't coming off.
mancunianfox Posted 1 August 2019 Posted 1 August 2019 I just cannot see Hamza playing enough games with Ndidi and Tielemans both looking strong. I hope he is more involved this year though. If Barnes can get going early in the season he seems a prime candidate for this - just needs to build up a bit of confidence to unlock his potential.

Your reasoning is quite logical but I think Hamza will be in front of Ndidi by the end of the year. I think Hamza offers a lot more overall; pressing, passing and shooting. The question remains as you said will he gef the game time? I also think there is a good chance both Ndidi and Hamza can be accommodated in the same lineup if end of last season is anyrhing to go by. And finally we don't the full potential of Hamza whereas Ndidi has played many seasons for club and country and can't see him improving on his present strengths.

He can operate either as the holding midfielder or as the box-to-box, so he's competing for two (or three depending on the formation) places rather than just one. The thing that will decide it is what happens with Mendy.

I really hope he comes good. He needs a 'moment' where he comes on as a sub at 0-0 and gets the winner!
Saxondale Posted 1 August 2019 Posted 1 August 2019 I think it's the year of the Hamza. He just looks so good every time I see him. I don't know who you'd leave out to put him in, mind.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 1 August 2019 Posted 1 August 2019 Predicted Chilwell last season, this season I'll go with... Iheahahahanacho to beat Vardy's 11 game goal record. Only joking. Should he get the starts... Harvey Barnes.

Could it be some one new or old? I've thought long and hard and I'm sure a lot of them will be mentioned below .... I think Marc Albrighton - I just feel he's turning into a Leicester a legend.. Rodgers has him under his wing and I think he's due a blinder... I said in another thread somewhere that Albrighton was my dark horse for this year. Glad I'm not the only one.
Jonezy Posted 1 August 2019 Posted 1 August 2019 I am afraid the rest of the world will finally realize, that Leicester actually has one of the absolute best attacking fullbacks in world in Ricardo. In Rodgers system he will light up even more and I can't wait.
Foxxed Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 Hamza will start vying for Ndidi's position and will look better a lot of the time. We'll end the season with one of the best midfields.
swanlee Posted 3 August 2019 Posted 3 August 2019 This is why it's so exciting being a lcfc fan at the moment. Who to pick? I think Ricardo, wilfred, mads & chilwell have still got a load more to offer. They're all still so young. And I really believe Tielemans could be the Cantona-esque signing that acts as a catalyst to the players around him. Breakthrough season for both Hamza & Barnes for sure. I'd also like to see Grey tear it up. Whatever you think of him, we have seen flashes. But in answer to the question. The dark horse, the underdog. The one that will take us all by 'surprise' ..... a pocket dynamo ... a Sir Claudio signing ......... get in .......
