Collymore Posted 31 July 2019 Posted 31 July 2019 Who will be the player this season that will step up and catch us (and the Premier League) by surprise. Could it be some one new or old? I've thought long and hard and I'm sure a lot of them will be mentioned below .... I think Marc Albrighton - I just feel he's turning into a Leicester a legend.. Rodgers has him under his wing and I think he's due a blinder...
martyn Posted 31 July 2019 Posted 31 July 2019 Iheanacho - I don't expect him to tear it up, but I do expect some positive contributions from the bench at the very least.

HybridFox Posted 31 July 2019 Posted 31 July 2019 Still think Benkovic is gonna be an absolute rock for us once he gets into the starting XI
Poznan34 Posted 31 July 2019 Posted 31 July 2019 I've high hopes for Harvey Barnes. Outside chance of a euro 2020 spot imo. Was consistently getting into good areas last season, should have had more than the one goal.

Aus Fox Posted 1 August 2019 Posted 1 August 2019 All of them, I feel we are building a strong team spirit again and a team where everyone has a role and knows what that role is. Its like the title winning season but arguably better players overall. Obviously Kante and Mahrez are irreplaceable for a club of our size, but I feel we are stronger in every other position- with the added togetherness that Rodgers brings similar to big Nige.
Stadt Posted 1 August 2019 Posted 1 August 2019 I don't think you could make a case for any of this squad really. Would it really be a 'surprise' if £25m Iheanacho found form or Barnes played really well? George Thomas or Calvin Ughelumba stepping up would be an actual surprise.

Instrumental in the great escape, instrumental in the title win, scored goals in the Champions League, and has earned his place with every manager, giving his all every minute. He's only just below Kasper, Morgan, Mahrez, Vardy, and King (maybe Drinkwater) as one of our greatest legends.
Tielemans63 Posted 1 August 2019 Posted 1 August 2019 Harvey Barnes. Just needs to find the net in those first few games.

Fox92 Posted 1 August 2019 Posted 1 August 2019 Can't really make a case for anybody. Wingers will be interesting to me though as we need more goals from that area. But I can't see Albrighton getting anymore than 3 goals as usual. Likewise Gray. I'd like to see Barnes push on and be involved more but maybe he needs another loan move first.

So did Albrighton on the left side of midfield but was snubbed time and time again. If you're one of the favourites, you'll get in. I'd still expect Hamza to get the call though. Age on his side and already a part of the Under 21 set-up.

ozleicester Posted 1 August 2019 Posted 1 August 2019 Ricardo... we think hes been good already... hah! this year is going to see our first transfer direct to Barca.
Tielemans63 Posted 1 August 2019 Posted 1 August 2019 If Maguire goes then hopefully Caggers or Benko will be the surprise package and absolutely own it.
