Corky Posted 2 September 2019 Posted 2 September 2019 He clearly wasn't up to it as a winger but when he played as a number 10 against Burnley last season when Maddison was absent he looked far more comfortable and had a decent game. He won't play there again so best for all if he moves on.

Foxin_Mad Posted 5 September 2019 Posted 5 September 2019 I must be in a minority but I didn't think Ghezzal was terrible, he is better than some and his attitude wasn't terrible. He probably wasn't up to the level we need now but fee we have been a bit harsh on him.

Yeah I agree - he was also signed directly after we sold Riyad and there was some natural comparisons made by fans. In my opinion, Mahrez was the most technically gifted player we've ever had, so it was already a difficult ask to come in and have an impact anywhere near that scale. I think he will suit the slower pace of the Italian league.
