Both Man of Medan and Little Hope as part of that Dark Anthology are also available on PS Extra for free.  I haven't got round to playing those yet though.  Until Dawn is my favourite of these types of game along with Detroit and Heavy Rain.

Assassins Creed Chronicles - China is a great little game.  Enjoying it so far.

I've played both man of Medan and little hope. Decent games but I don't think they are quite as good as the like of Until Dawn or Detroit. Still decent enough tho.

Did you ever play Fahrenheit? That was on PS2 and I loved it. It was the first game of it's type that I ever played. Would love for that to become available to play again

Anyone tried the RE4 remake demo yet?  It plays well.  Starts off in the village but the lead up to that is different from the original.  Ends when the bell rings in the village, lasts around 25 minutes.  I've seen nothing here to put me off getting it.  Also noticed RE3 is £8 in the current sale.  Might get that first.

Yeah I enjoyed it, definitely planning to get it when it comes out, I have never actually played 4 yet so quite looking forward to it

RE3 is good and for £8 I would say it is definitely worth it

Can get through it in about 6-7 hours as well

RE4 is my favourite RE game.  Outstanding game at the time of release but controls haven't aged well over the years.  I still have the PS2 version complete with steel book case.

I have a copy of it on PS4 as after playing Village and enjoying that so much I was planning to play through them all so bought a copy of each game

Only got through Zero so far because of other games having my attention lol

Original RE3 is my favourite, first I ever played in the series and one of the first video games I ever actually played

I have heard that the remake for 2 is a lot better than the remake for 3 as well

The story in RE4 is slightly better imo and it is the more intense of the two.  RE2 is a great game though.  Still need to complete Clare's campaign.

It all goes south after 4, 5 is ok but 6 is a mess.

This is why I've held off 3 because it isn't as good or as long.  Will get it now it's cheap though.

Cracked open my PSVR2 the other week. It's my first foray into VR gaming (Had PSVR but never used it 🤦🏼‍♂️). Only played GT7 so far which was really immersive and I loved it but I got motion sick within less than 10 minutes so had to turn it off. I feel a bit reluctant to play it again now after that. I know it's perfectly normal and you have to train your brain to adapt to VR gaming but just struggling to stomach the thought of it.

It could turn out to be an expensive mistake...

In all seriousness, I hope you get on with it eventually.  I would like to give it a go at some point but am not sure I could get on with it long term.  Could do with trying one out to test it out.

Just seen Lance Reddick has passed away

I wonder what that would mean for Sylens in a 3rd Horizon game

Hopefully they'll find someone close enough sounding to him for a recast, as he's an integral character.

I wonder if he is part of the upcoming Burning Shores DLC?

I've just finished Guardians of the Galaxy which was a really enjoyable game from start to finish.  It had a few pacing issues mid-game but the final parts were brilliant.  I've just gone back to RE2 to do a Claire Redfield B playthrough, then I'll do RE3 while its cheap before picking up RE4 Remake.

Yes, done it a couple of times now.  It's quality.  The speed and the improvement in the controls have made one of the best releases on PS2 even more impressive now.  I hope they've kept the original soundtrack in place with the early parts of the game against the villagers.  It was difficult to judge where the sound was going on the demo.  I see also they've taken out the laser dot sight on the initial handgun although you can buy it as an upgrade from the merchant.

I've now done RE3.  It only took 6 and a half hours and that was at a leisurely pace.  Some observations:

  • it's too short and it feels as though chunks of the game are missing;
  • Nemesis is introduced far too early and there is no build up in suspense/dread when he turns up.  You could always sense when he would turn up as well.  The total opposite of Mr X.
  • Still tied to Nemesis, the boss battles involving him are too scripted.  It felt like the many scenarios that plagued RE6 and there was no sense of tension, just a bullet sponging mess.
  • I'm glad I only paid £8 for it lol

I'd put it above RE6 but below RE5 on that showing.  Ok in parts but ultimately disappointing.
