Can get one of these pretty easily now. Not sure if I'll use it as much as my Series X though. Pretty much only bothered about the Spiderman games, and with FM8 out next year, GT7 doesn't quite have the pull it once had to make me want one

It didn't even win a single award.  That's ridiculous. :blink:

 

I'll pick up Ragnorok and can guarantee I won't like it as much, but we'll see.  

 

Next year is looking stacked though.  

 

Diablo4 and FFXVI in June, Dead Space and RE4 remakes, HFW dlc, Jedi Knight sequel... the list is huge.

Hades 2 was a very pleasant surprise. Only happened upon the first after it'd been fully released so looking forward to getting stuck into the early access this time and seeing how it develops.

I was looking forward to it as well but, believe me, the open world is so static, dull and dead.  It's a million miles away from HFW in that respect.

 

Graphically across the board though it is extremely poor, even more so considering it is exclusively PS5 and not cross platform.  Some of the in game voice comments are laughable and so misplaced as well.

 

The opening soundtrack is decent on the menu screen and gives you a sense of great anticipation though, but then it's terrible in game.  Based on this experience, I will not be getting it.  I've deleted it already.  lol

Sounds hugely disappointing  :(

 

Will have to look at the demo, not because I don`t believe you, but because I just need to see quite how crap it is!!

Yeah not that surprised Horizon is my most played game

 

Ghost of Tsushima was 2nd with 91 hours, Lego Harry Potter was 3rd with 57 hours, GTA was 4th with 47 hours, Ragnarok was 5th with 42 hours

Make sure you play Astro's Playroom if you haven't already, it's basically a tech demo for the controller but is genuinely good fun

Astro's is a decent title and is also easy to platinum.  :thumbup:  

 

I would also recommend a PS Extra subscription which is excellent value for money.  It costs about 90 for the year but you can knock that down to about 75 with one of those top up wallet cards from online retailers.  You basically get free games twice a month - the usual PS+ games on the first Tuesday of the month and a shedload more two weeks later.  There's a lot of big AAA games available (I'm currently going through Ghost of Tsushima) so two or three of these will see you recoup the 75 in no time.

 

For example, this Tuesday we're getting

Managed to grab a copy of Gran Turismo 7 the other day and after waiting an age for the install managed to pump a couple fof hours into it. 

 

Not a bad game but a little underwhelmed if I'm honest. Not sure if it's because it was being bigged up as a revolutionary driving game but just reminds me of the old PlayStation 1 games just with a graphical lick of paint. That's not necessarily a bad thing but I was just expecting more. All the bug bears I've always had with GT series are still there, I.e. amazing car models but drop off in track detail, very little damage to cars, etc. 

 

Need to play it more but think it's still behind Forza Motorsport in my opinion.

21 hours into Ghost of Tsushima now and have just fully completed the first third of the whole map.

 

Enjoying it so far, the combat system is very well executed and super smooth, feels far superior to the likes of AC Valhalla.  Graphically the game is good enough but there are instances when the lighting shines in such a way that it looks incredible and is approaching HFW levels of detail.  And the load times are non existent as well.  I can see myself getting platinum on this one.

Received mine yesterday. Got God of War and Horizon with it. Haven't really had much time with it as my kids have dominated it with Astro's playroom.

 

The controller really is a nice piece of technology though, I do wonder if GT7 will be responsive with the triggers or not
