Only mugs pay for sky sports. Just stream everything in glorious HD. Literally anything on sky and BT can be streamed. Plus much more.

I’m not that hard up for £17 a month to have the hassle of looking for decent streams, being able to pause or record and not have to worry about my internet ever going down.

Quite. If they were no mugs, then there would be no televised football (or huge payments to clubs like LCFC).  Streamers, while it makes individual sense to them (just like the current panic buying and hoarding) are just parasites.

SS is only 17 a month? Sure I've seen people on here moan about their bill being massive - must be for BT and the film channels etc I take it.

How much is just the basic sky with sports?

Saved £21 by pausing and that’s sky sports with HD.

I don’t have BT sport included in that as I think that’s an additional £20.

I’m not sure maybe around £38 per month.

My sky bill is just a little over £65 a month for everything including a multi room box. I’m sure I could get it down if I removed a few things but I’ll wait for that when it’s up for renewal.

Which is why the sport is in the state that it's in. Don't moan about the 'big club' monopoly if you're part of the cause.

Oh crikey…. I was only trying to do a public service announcement to save folk a few quid a month…. There are plenty of schmuks out there who play £20+ a month who, in these straightened, times may want to save a few quid….

I pay my subscription cash and admit to having viewed the odd hooky stream, but, the hair shirt I continually wear means that I will continue to be close to our lord and saviour come judgement day!

I paused mine yesterday, no fuss.

I've tried streaming before, or using the android app thing. Fcuk me what a load of p1ssing about. No thanks, I' quite happy paying Sky to watch in Ultra HD without having to faff about. I'm sure for those savvy people it is possible to save £20 a month and get it all "free" but it's not for me.

Question...

When you have paused your channel's,  can you still view them?

My next bill gives me a credit for sports (indicating they have been paused), but I can still view via my sky box.

Cheers

Yes.

Though flicking through earlier it’s just repeat after repeat of Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool games.
