MPH Posted 4 April 2020 Posted 4 April 2020 i remember George Graham at the time saying something along the lines of “ Running into Leicester’s defense is like running into a brick wall”. High praise indeed.
rico Posted 5 April 2020 Posted 5 April 2020 Elliot snd Spencer Prior were once described by a commentator as ‘shaven headed gladiators’ 😂

Wymsey Posted 5 April 2020 Posted 5 April 2020 He has sounded as a level-headed and well-spoken individual whenever he's on the radio on matchdays with Ian Springer.
sylofox Posted 5 April 2020 Posted 5 April 2020 Matty Elliott the greatest player of all time. Anyone that could fvck off Levy and spuds is my hero.

Anyone who don’t kno he is watching that would think he was one of our legendary past strikers You simply just don't see anyone that can head the ball like that anymore. I know the term 'lost art' is a bit of a cliche, but he was simply phenomenal. He was heading them in from distances and angles that just seem impossible by today's standards.
RumbleFox Posted 6 April 2020 Posted 6 April 2020 Definitely in my top 5 all time favourite players, loved him. My brother and I still talk about that Chelsea goal where he turned their defence inside out. Met him and Heskey once at a signing in the old club shop and he was huge. Absolute beast. Legend. X
Fox92 Posted 6 April 2020 Posted 6 April 2020 Today's upload is of Matt Elliott. Some absolute belters on there for a 6ft centre half. When people pick their "best PL team" Elliott is in with a shout alongside Huth and Morgan. Also Neil Lennon's crossing ability is underrated.
Jace Posted 6 April 2020 Posted 6 April 2020 I know we've had some good centre backs in recent times but Walsh and Elliott have always been the top 2 IMO
sdb Posted 6 April 2020 Posted 6 April 2020 So clinical! Looks like he's too good for everyone else in so much of that vid. Didn't he take a wage cut after administration too? Certified legend.

Walsh wore his heart on his sleeve, and is a legend. Brilliant in the air. However not sure I’m he was in the top 2 CB we have ever had. IMO of course.
tylesta Posted 6 April 2020 Posted 6 April 2020 Only defender to score double figures for us in the prem
RumbleFox Posted 7 April 2020 Posted 7 April 2020 Him and Taggs were ****ing legendary for a couple of years. Did they not get close to 20 goals between them one year? Scruffy, ugly beautiful bastards. As good a partnership as we’ve had in our history. X
Analysethis Posted 7 April 2020 Posted 7 April 2020 It wouldn't surprise me if Spurs came in for him today. He couldn't be as bad as that shambles they have at the moment. Jose, we will take £3m but not a penny less.
