The problem with this article and many others is the 'when'. Give me the when! Otherwise, you may as well be a poster on FT 😂

I've been out of AI for a while and minimising my tech exposure as much as I can. Heck, I'm actually considering moving fully to bonds for a while 🤔

Been putting it off for a while but finally started a Stocks and Shares ISA. Put a few ks worth in Vanguard All world ETF then plan on putting a £100 in every month. Just wanted something long term alongside pension

Decided I’ll be investing in filtronic but think it’ll dip a little bit in next month so bit hesitant

sadly for other reasons I couldn't do this, rewarding in someway however to see It rise!

Sounds the perfect way to invest (not that I'm qualified to say so). Regular drip-feeding and using a ISA to avoid tax. Let us know in 20 years how it turns out!

I think I took an interest when you mentioned them and ended up buying in. Not much unfortunately!

Nice little spike in portfolios today as Trump announces the pause in hostilities.

Probably told his mates beforehand though. No doubt there'll be another dip when he does or says something stupid again.

Come on then, can't not comment on the upcoming space X IPO. Who's going to have a dabble?

Looks hugely overvalued to me so if I do join in it'll be in the hope of the day one price skyrocketing so I can immediately sell again. I'm 50/50. Brain tells me don't do it but impulsive brain is saying "go on, dares you".

Think I heard there only putting a small % of shares out, which will create scarcity and drive the price up.   If thats the case, I'm staying away. No doubt will regret it.

Elon having 2 of the top 10 companies in the world is crazy.

Particularly when neither has any reason to be with anywhere near what it is.

It's weird.

He's blinded the entire financial world with celebrity.

Tesla is a shambles at the valuation. Space X having to buy tens of thousands of unsold cyber trucks.

The Space X prospectus it's mainly a weird narrative of impossible dreams.

A governance structure which basically lets musk do what he wants and everybody else take the risk.

Some talk of him merging the two shortly after IPO.

The whole thing is nonsensical really.

To me it's bound to fall at some point it's just when. Others have valued Space X at less that half the IPO valuation.

I'll either steer clear or buy at the start and sell when it's risen on the first day.

Space X's next big contract is to make the human landers for NASA to get back to the moon. They are likely to be quite behind on that timeline so the share price might suffer for that over the next few years.

Undecided on SpaceX currently, ignoring the hype, I like the fact that a lot of their contracts are with government agencies. These tend to be very lucrative.

Was reading something about IPOs in general and the fact they are basically an opportunity for earlier investors to cash out.

Earlier investors, including recent ones, bought at a much lower price that the IPO is set. It'll make them all billions.

I'm leaning towards expecting an early fall. Facebook apparently dropped 30-50% following IPO and space x is far, far more overpriced.

Do all early investors not have a lock-in period?

Got to be this right? The big finance houses will be the big winners as usual while the ocassional trader will fund it

I was alluding to all of the current private investors who got in before IPO who will more than likely use this event as a liquidity opportunity to dump their cheap shares and become millionaires.
