I sit here and look at how he’s been instructed to play, and it just doesn’t work for him. I question why we can’t play to his strengths. I also question if he has any strengths to play too.

I dont think i have ever seen a footballer as predictable as he is when he receives the ball. Constantly trying to chop back and gets out muscled. Hes useless at any level. Even more so if we are a team that wants to play out from the back. Needs to go.

Yes and its £30k a week!!! I cant see anyothe club in the world giving someone like him that type of contract that's why we are in the financial mess we are. Who on earth is making these decisions.

He's not athletic. He can't defend 1v1. He's weak. He's not good aerially. He's horrendously one footed. He takes way too long to make a decision. He's too negative with his choice of pass and often puts the receiver in a poor position.

Six years and counting we've had to watch this lad, totally out of his depth and look pleadingly for his default out ball - a panicked chop and then reverse pass inside to Evans / Cags / Vestergaard. / Souttar. 

 

The only respite was a season woth Enzo who all but banned him from the club after one training session.

He's been carried by Fofana and Soyuncu so we never saw how shit he actually is.

Should have been released from the academy years ago. Absolutely no idea how he has made it into professional football. It’s scary that fast forward to 2026 he is still making our squad never mind starting 11.

Look at Chilwell, massively improved physically over the years with us because he clearly put the effort in to improve. Thomas the complete opposite, sat on his FA Cup final appearance and thinks he’s the dogs bollocks. You cannot tell me he hasn’t got a nutritionist and a gym template to work off with our facilities. You don’t need to be an insider to see he’s lazy and stealing a living.

Have previously felt the criticism of him on here has been over the top. Going off last week and today we cant continue with him anywhere near the starting lineup. No intention of dealing with the ball, too busy trying to defend the man. No intelligence going forward. Poor poor showing, let's hope McFarlane is fit and ready soon.
