Hundred is just cheap attempt at IPL. Personally much prefer t20. Cricket in England and Wales should be about counties not cities. Dont be surprised if its gone in two years.

It'll be reformatted.

Warwickshire Phoenix, Essex Spirit, Lancashire Originals etc.

What I find hilarious about the Hundred is listening to the Sky commenters/pundits making it really obvious they’re under contract to praise and big it up

That's the same with all media David Lloyd praised it when he worked for sky then changed his tune when he left the company

To be fair I think Michael Atherton is always against it, particularly the scheduling but he's clever enough to do it without being overly critical.

That investment has already started.

Some of the applications have gone in to change the names to align with the IPL style names (similar to what SA20 and CPL) have done.

This will improve things!

Shocking decision imo by Zimbabwe  to recall Brendan Taylor who's almost 40 after a 3 year ban for match fixing

Because of his age, the ban, or both ?

Just seen McGrath predicting 5-0 to Australia. Can you really blame him? We haven’t won a test there since 2011, never mind a series.

I think 4-1.

IMO if the England team show up all guns blazing and things go right, it could be 2-2 or 3-2 either way.

If not, it will be 3-1 or 4-1 Oz.

If we try Bazball our way through 5 Tests it will be 5-0 to Australia.

They have the best attack in the world, the grounds are massive & we have a dreadful record there as it is.

England can definitely put their batters under pressure if the  bowlers are fit for long enough (Wood, Archer, Atkinson, Carse). Then our top order need to play sensible, positive cricket & read the match situations far better.

This series has shown that they can do that, I think. The total amount of runs scored shows that.

England just need the bowling to fire so that they're not chasing 350+ to win every Test.

The Hundred has been so unique and successful that immediately the investors want to change the format and the team names meaning a whole new load of money spent on advertising, a trophy and a competition name.

The counties better spend their money wisely because this isn't growing in the long term.

Both he's also served drug bans over the years was always in trouble when he played at Notts

I didn’t know about the drug issue. Match fixing should be a lifetime ban in any case.
Zimbabwean cricket must be desperate.

Zimbabwe 125 NZ 600\3 talk about pointless

I went to watch part of England’s tour to Zim in the mid 90s.
3 weeks. Harare, Bulawayo & Victoria Falls. It was different, but enjoyable !

They did. From memory England didn't win a game, lost 3 ODIs (l saw all 3 !), and drew both Tests, one was ruined by rain in Harare.
