The way this is written makes it look like a Trump tweet. :D

"Jasprit Bumrah, very smart guy."

'A magnificent score, the best score there is. I should have a Nobel Peace Price for guiding him!'

I love Bazball as a mentality. As in, always be positive and look to win every game. Always look to progress the game etc.

But there are a few aspects of it that really rub me up the wrong way. Watching Smith and Brook get out while trying to hit big shots while there are men on the boundary is pointless. Especially when the new ball is coming.

It feels like it's all or nothing with this team whereas I think that if they played the occasion on time to time they could go on to do great things.

This isn’t a Bazball thing though. I remember that test about a decade ago where Ishant Sharma kept banging it in short and got about 3 or 4 caught on the ropes.

404 is highest successful chase at Headingley.

Won't get anywhere near that but in order to give England a challenging target it has to be near 350ish. Not sure we'll get that in 2nd innings. Ball was doing a lot today, especially the new one on those cracks on the surface.

First blood to England.

Ball is moving all over the place. Left, right and very high up sometimes!

Whatever the score is that England need to chase, it's a shame Bumrah can't bowl all our overs lol

Anything above 250 will definitely be tricky, I think.

There's not much sport that's better than a good 5 day test match. I'm REALLY enjoying this.

It's a great start to the series isn't it.

Is there anything worse when you’re watching cricket and someone who has no idea about the game asks you “who’s winning?!” 😩😂

Is it difficult to see at Headingly or something? So many dropped catches in this test.

Headingley is known to be tricky regarding taking sharp catches.

Particularly as even if not bowled out India won't likely have enough to be comfortable with a declaration until close of play today at least.

If England lose this from here then it will have been a shocking batting performance in the fourth innings.

the only thing is that England will chase whatever, unless Pant goes nuts now and they get them in after tea, but I can't see that from Gill to be honest. A draw would be an intriguing start to the series.

Pant has gone nuts....

This is still going to be a position where England have to bat out around 90 overs (less whatever gets taken off for rain delays) to draw the match. If they can't do that given the conditions, they don't deserve the draw and it would be piss poor.

It will be very interesting to see if they can bat "sensibly" under those conditions.

That amount of overs really shouldn't have to rely upon "sensible" batting to go through to be honest, given the conditions and that the opposition only have one world class bowler.
