Just superstition, I think. His lucky number. I don't think he's ever revealed why.

If I had to guess, I think he strongly believes that 13 is unlucky, and so he thinks that number backwards must be lucky. His birthday is March 1st, so it could possibly be related to that. Not sure.

Always thought O’Neill had the 31 as it was some relation to Brian Clough. 
 

This shirt btw, my favourite of all time.

Only wore this kit 3 times didn't we? And never won wearing it -  at Luton (1-1), at Huddersfield (1-3), and at Reading (1-1). Great kit though. Still have my original too.

Just checked my original from '95 (below) and it does indeed have the wonky eye so the reproduction is faithful to that.

Thanks. Yeah. I think @Rain King is right. The black didn't fill in the fox's right iris enough on the original, and they didn't correct that for the replica. I wonder whether that was intentional, or if they just didn't notice.

Just checked my original and can confirm it also has the boz-eyed fox. Well, they did say every detail had been faithfully reproduced in fairness.
