Gazza M Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 You will never get anything else from this guy. When it works it is attractive football but we are very easy to play against and Rodgers has no ability to mix it up.
coolhandfox Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 I reserves judgement until after Roma, if we have been taking it easy and then blow Roma away that's fine.
Lako42 Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 He's a ****ing bore.. His system is dull, easy to defend against and completely negates our best players. I'm bored of this football, it sucks the life out of you 3
Guest Lcfc82 Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 Absolutely terrible today, his brand of football is so boring to watch. He’s got nearly a full squad available now and nothing is any better. I honestly don’t know how anyone can enjoy watching us at the minute
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 So he still can't see how shit we are playing. 🤔🤣

None of that happens with Rodgers he patronises the crowd by saying "they got behind the boys today" - rubbish - if he wants the support of the fans he need to level with us: say "my obsession with possession is stifling creativity so that even against a villa side on the beach we made zero changes." yet he says this is fine and acceptable - he should; hang his head in shame and give his wages to charity. Happy Fox Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 I would respect him if he had any volition to try and change things up from the norm, but we are just so predictable. Against a shite Villa team we play one upfront at home. 1

Doesn't mean he has to only say negative things but a little appreciation that the past 3 performances, or at least the intent, haven't been good enough. As others have said, you get the feeling that he is genuinely happy with how we've approached these games and that's the real worry.

But as he has mentioned things but the public and media cherry picker what they want to hear. It’s all waffle anyway to appease a machine of noise. I increasingly find it bizarre how much people take notice of pre and post match interviews; even more so using confirmation bias to pick the quotes what fit their opinion. He was always going to put the best shine on today given Thursdays huge game 1
Weller Wing Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 I wonder what the players think to it all Hopefully today was because of Thursday, but we've been boring to watch for ages. I'd rather have lost at Newcastle and Everton if we'd have gone down with an exciting, adventurous brand of football, as the season is over Not many positives from the last 3 games apart from match fitness and injured players coming back in time for Roma🤞
kingkisnorbo Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 If we completely nause up Roma do you think top makes a decision? Just speculating.

If our fans were barely up for Newcastle away after the quarter final in Holland, the players ain’t gonna be far off the same. 1

There’s two parts to my issues with Rodgers’ football here now The first is the stuff of today which has been an ongoing thing for a year and a half or so (more often than not) Then there’s been this horrendous 6 month slump we’ve had this season Rodgers may have started to address some of the issues that reared their head during the 6 month slump, but as shown today, he’s not even scratched the surface on the more deep rooted issues 2

A 2nd half effort might have got more out of them, as well
