My knowledge of the LCFC Ladies is very limited, but my understanding is it’s very much a family affair? Surely they’ll have to leave the nepotism behind if they want to progress as a professional outfit?

Good luck to them though, and will tune in next season if they’re on the telly box.

The dad/former owner/chairman has moved into a non-exec/advisory role I believe since KP took over and it looks as though Holly (club captain) might be moving into off the pitch stuff, we’ve also brought in Russ Fraser as Head of Women’s Football from West Ham last year and are looking outward to fill more roles so there are some changes/non-family members coming in.

That being said Jade (General Manager) is seen as having a great mind for the business by people in the women’s game and Jonathan the head coach has been doing a great job in his role. So all in all a bit of yes and a bit of no lol

It’ll come as no surprise to anyone on here because we all know the kind of owner Top is but I don’t think you’d get many other Premier League club owners personally handing out end of season awards to their women’s team

Is that Ash Plumptre top right? What did she win, as there's no caption on that Twitter photo and I can't find it anywhere!

She's really stood out for me when I've watched them play. Thanks.

Nice, thank you. I knew she was good!

If only we could sign that Rose Lavelle from Man City I'd probably start watching the women's team as much as the men!

Wasn’t at the spurs game but saw a clip of the girls parading the trophy at half time, was great to see and hear that they got a great reception.

would be nice if at the first home game next season the FA Cup was paraded as well as the girls with their championship trophy in front of a full stadium.

Bruno was there too :D

Not to take anything away from the girls though!

Whats the link with the women's first team here?

More traditional academy system put in place + creation of a team for the WSL Academy league, inductions for next season have taken place at Belvoir Drive this week, resources moved elsewhere rather than keeping the RTC going

They’ve merged with the lcfcw youth to form the academy at Belvoir Drive. I guess it didn’t make sense to have two academy set ups (especially as the rtc finished at 16) and the extra cost that must entail.

First of many pieces of contract news that’ll be coming out

Another one...

Smart business getting a new contract for Charlie. Her and Hannah Cain were in great form in the run-in. Think it was the Charlton game at the end of the season she left their full back in a different postcode for one of the goals. Looking forward to seeing how they step up now. WSL is a big gap.

Elsewhere in the women’s game:

Blimey.

I see these scenes all over the world (not for the womens teams) but we really are incredibly reserved when it comes to sports aren't we?:D
