Butterfill 1-0 in injury time! Sounds like we absolutely hammered them but just couldn't score. Popov and Alves hit the woodwork several times.

It would be so good to win the FA Youth Cup. I don't think we've ever won it, but must have a chance with the talent we seem to have at the moment

Should keep an eye on the Crewe keeper, sounds like he had a really good game

Don’t we already have 75 good youth keepers 😂🤷🏼

Has anyone seen Grist play?

Not yet, surprised he's not yet stepped up to the U23's given the pursuit we did with him. He's surely at that level already? That said, this U18 team seems to have way more talent and confidence than the U23's, so like Popov and Pennant, maybe it's better to keep him at this level for the season.

It bothers me a bit that like the U23's the U18's also played with a back five last night, and ended up with Popov and Alves up front when both are wingers / attacking midfielders.

Yeah it's strange. Both used to lay 4-2-3-1 and then changed and have kept it, long after the 1st team reverted back to a back 4. It's quite clear Rodgers only uses that system as an absolute last resort.

He played last night. He was a bit aggressive and picked up a yellow quite early on, but otherwise like Nelson he was quite solid.

Thought it was Godsmark-Ford who was booked. Did Grist get a yellow too?

Sounds like this Salisbury caused a fair bit of trouble for the defence

Hope Justin gets a few minutes in this.

if he's limited to one game a week then he shouldn't play this when we have a game on Wednesday

Would depend on Castagne for me. If he's fit and back, I'd put JJ back in for 45/60 mins

I have seen from some videos / pictures that the fog ended up really bad

How was visibility from the stand?

At some point I couldn't see what was happening on the other side of the pitch. You could make out the scoreboard but not much else.

Was getting Blackburn at Filbert Street in 96 flashbacks.

Be interesting to see what team we play tonight, as I imagine most of the kids from the Watford game will still be on the bench against Spurs on Wednesday

Also no Wakeling, and possibly no JJ as well

Hopefully we might finally see Popov
