In the spirit of maverick moves by the U23's, he finally scores and assists for the U23's so they drop him.

At 22 and 23 Leshabela and Eppiah may as well be released if they can't get games on loan anywhere, they've had years in the U23's and our actual prospects should take priority now.

I suspect this maybe one last push to remind lower league clubs about them before the window shuts next Monday.

Or keeping his feet on the ground and making sure he know there is work to do.

Letting him know he's not made it just yet, keeping him hungry.

I think seeing what difference his involvement in the first team made to his confidence when playing last week for the U23's has done has proven how beneficial it can be for these players to get given a chance. He must be buzzing, likewise Wanya Marca.

We need to harness that, otherwise they could end up like 2 of the players currently back in the U23's today aged 22 and 23.

Or it could be that Leshabela and Eppiah aren't good enough.

He's 16 not sure we need to worry just yet.

Progress and development is rarely linear

The club isn't totally naïve when it come to developing talent, when you consider we had seen Chilwell, Thomas, KDH and Barnes and Hamza come thought the ranks

Anyway, the fact Alves and Braybrooke will play in the Youth Cup 5th round for us this week, that's probably the thinking behind them being on the bench here today.

Would love to see us win it,

Probably expected from someone at the top end of the age bracket but Eppiah is absolutely bullying the West Ham back line. Surely if any lower league scouts are watching, he gets a loan move before the end of the window.

Still persisting with a back 3, bizarre

It really bothers me that we have both ages groups below the first team set up in this formation, and since Rodgers can't leave it alone with the first team either it just makes me think it's how he wants all the age groups to be playing.

....but yet he insists that he prefers to play with a back four!!!

...Leshabella looking like a League 1 player!!!

He is usually more cultured but looks sluggish and not bringing players in. He needs to be working more further up the pitch and move the ball around more.

Hrs clearly not upto league 1 standard yet hence he got hardly any gane time at Shrewsbury.

Has potential to have some sort of professional career but I think league 2 is his level at best right now.
