Knowing us if we get another penalty in the next game Daka will be the taker again

Ayew probably starts the next game. Remember his last penalty?

I think we haven't utilised his strengths over time because we have stopped being a counter attacking team and his threat (can't believe I'm using that word now !) was running in behind rather than scoring goals v a team that has already set its defence and midfield with little space inbetween

That doesn't excuse the abject finishing we're now seeing which is the result of a total loss of confidence. Still prefer him to Ayew though although that's a bit like saying I'd prefer to shit my pants on a night out rather than mess them with a gush  of diarrhoea

At any other club he would out of the door either sold or loaned out .... he is not a goalscorer in any shape or form ... play to his strengths .... what are they ?? ..... I get the alternatives are few ... but that's down to the club management not identifying potential strikers ... the saying of if you don't concede ... you don't lose .... but on the flip side if you can't score .... you won't win any ..

A bit like Madders miss that got us relegated you get single moments like this that you could point to and say "that's when we were relegated"

2 point are absolutely massive and I wouldn't be surprised at all at the end of the season they'll come into play as what tip us over the edge.

Can't believe we haven't planned for this and why Rowett would  think "you know what, give a penalty to our worst striker in history who's got no confidence and is technically woeful... - especially if the scores 0-0 in a tight game where it's likely to win the game"

Come on - we all knew the penalty was missed before it was taken didn't we?

You really hope you've got someone that's willing to put their foot through the ball, firstly get it on target and soak up the pressure of the moment and if we haven't got that, Daka should be well down the list in that circumstance.

James, Mavadidi, Fatawu, Winks, Skipp or even Lacelles should  have been picked before "2 goals in 2 years" Patson. Pathetic planning.

All seems very much "ah well - there's always next game" very much like the BR relegation season where we wrote off those two home games with Sadler!

We deserve to get relegated with this pathetic club from the top echelons down to the tea lady.

Bin them all.

The turning point for me was losing 3-4 to Southampton at home after leading 3-0.

That is because these experts on here don't like to admit their wrong opinion on here that he is a good footballer when it is so obvious he is crap

Exactly... I've got a dog that runs but he's sh1t at football ... so was he brought to fit our system...  or build a team around him ... he shows no signs of any potential to me he's just a less than average player in a less than average team ... so actually he probably is in the right system

It will be great for the club when he leaves this June. (Please don't give him another contract ffs). That shocking header and pen !!

Daka looked like he was scared of hitting the post after diving (sort of) to head the ball at goal.  And 75 k  per week for that lack of commitment. He also looked like he was scared of heading the ball. Considering the importance of the game. Clueless and useless.

How my brain is coping with the chances yesterday.

Penalty - The Keeper did well to save it, he guessed the right way and anything other than putting it top bins he would have got to it because he guessed right. Had he dived the other way Daka wins the game for us.

Header - He was offside, so on target or not it wouldn’t count.

That miss against Leeds still annoys me!

If I remember right, it was similar to the peter canero miss away at Leeds in a relegation six pointer in 2004 in which we as usual came out second best in. Another late goal conceded after coming back from 2 nil down.

So he’s cost the club roughly 2.1 million per goal!

4 out of the 19 were in one game that we didnt even help us get out of the group stage. He must have about 9 league goals for us in 5 seasons. I remember him scoring against Cheltenham in the cup this season.

Just utterly shit and completely in keeping with our massive decline. Frankly, it's a discrace that he's played nearly 150 games for us. A serious club accepts they've ****ed up and get him out of the door pronto.

We've invested nearly £45m into him and he doesn't get into a single Championship side other than our own.

It's like we decided that he'd be the Vardy replacement and couldn't accept that he's not good enough but as with everything else under Aiyawatt.... "we'll be alright".

I genuinely think there will have been people in the away end that have more technical ability. I mean that 100%.

His passing ability is just pathetic, he couldn't trap a bag of cement and I've never see him head the ball with the ball ending up where he aimed it.

I cannot wait until him and Ayew leave.

It all stems back to poor management

£23m fee

75k a week for 5 years £19.5M

pound for pound, one of our worst ever players, yet still better than Ayew.

****ing sick of it.

Apparently a few posts back he still isnt getting enough games.

I have sympathy for our managers they have only losing cards on our strikers, but the best managers would just play someone up there out of position instead, it works as a protest against the DoF and might yield better results.

How have we ruined him? He was signed to replace Vardy and he knew that.

19 goals in 123 games, he's played at least 20 league games every season,  his best return was 7 under Maresca, and only scored 1 league goal for the last 2 seasons.

I fail to see how any of this is our fault, he's had chances at the club and not taken them.

In his first 2 seasons he was fortunate to play with some very good players, who were also highly paid, so I fail to see how any of this is our fault.

Ok we’ve not necessarily ‘ruined him’, but it’s pretty clear that the environment is not one for players reaching their potential, there’s not been a player at the club since KDH who has drastically improved over a sustained period of time.
