To be fair, judging on past experiences from other clubs, if you didn't board at least 2 hours before KO, no chance getting in on time.

Feel sorry for anyone who misses kickoff or maybe the whole thing. Probably go  the wrong way on purpose so they can blame traffic rather than themselves. It's like they are trying to get fans to start trouble.

Why should you get on a coach 2.5 hours before kick off to make the 15 minute drive to the ground?

Remember this is a police escort that’s sat in traffic?! Wtf?!

According to Google maps we are over 1 hour 20 minutes from the ground because they have purposefully driven us in the wrong direction.

I know we are scum bag football fans but do we deserve this?

Been on the bus 90 minutes already, further from the stadium than when we started. Will miss kick off for sure. It’s a disgrace, follow club’s instructions, miss the game 🙁

It happens to every club there. The police do it on purpose to keep you away from any trouble at the ground. It's not right and was actually one of many reasons not to make this trip. It is not a normal European away day. Very much get up, get a bus forever, watch game, get held back forever, go to bed.

This isn’t the club to blame for this. It’s Naples coppers doing what they’ve done repeatedly time and time again. Sometimes the Napoli ultras will purposely be a ****ing pain around the ground to stop them getting the buses in. 

 

The way football fans are treated on balance is disgraceful. Particularly going abroad to watch your team. 
 

The reasoning I started this thread with advice was to expect all this what they do, police and Napoli support. You’ll be in the ground till 10 and the taxis will be scarce around the port. So be careful as you head to hotels etc as that’s when they will try to pick people off. 
 

That’s exactly what they do if you took a taxi or metro to the ground.

Can't blame the club for this. It's the Italian authorities who instruct it. The alternative was to risk your life making your own journey.

Exactly, I think Arsenal and Swansea (to name just a few) have previously complained to UEFA but nothing has been done.

 

Nothing wrong with getting people to the ground and locking them into the away end there (rather than tinned on a bus for 2 hours).

Sounds like a shit show. Whilst you are stuck waiting collect everyones details, appoint a spokesmen and launch a serious letter at the club when your back demanding a meeting. Treating the most loyal support badly should be highlighted.

I’m reading All Played Out/One Night in Turin at the moment and the tactics the Italian police use towards away support/partisan support hasn’t changed since 1990.
