Ferrari had to pit because of the undercut with Verstappen on newer tyres. If they'd have waited Leclerc would have been passed by miles when he eventually came in for Softs. 

 

Ferrari's strategy team are rubbish though.

Red Bull quite fortunate really that their poor Saturday forced them to do something quite different today. Not impossible that they would have started on softs like Russell I guess

They did. Ferraris and Hamilton I think started on mediums. Unless anything happens in the last few laps, RB have done the right thing. Fair play to them for pitting Max first both times because it’s worked a charm and forced Ferrari to react. It really underlines how much he’s in charge of this championship. Starting P10 and still managing a pretty easy win even after a little spin.

To be in the position they were pre-race, and with RB in 10 & 11th spot, this is hugely embarrassing for Ferrari. One of their worst strategy fvck-ups.

I mean not impossible they'd have started on softs if they started front two rows as per normal, like they did from 10th/11th

Admirable effort from Crofty to try and make a 9 second lead seem under threat on the last lap.

Something not mentioned in here is that Max has driven incredibly well, one of his best wins. Same with Lewis too.
