Smith is throwing this away - quite literally. - That said Wright must be horrible to play - he's very stubborn.

You can tell Smith was mentored by Anderson, all the talent in the world but just need something to finally click to finish it off.

 

Gary did it by finally not being pocketed by Phil, Smith needs to break his reputation of being a big time bottler and the titles will follow imo

More than most he seems to be able to just block everything else out and grind out steady leg after steady leg when things aren't great then when he's chucking well it's as good as anybody.

All in all I really enjoyed this years darts. Despite the illnesses there was some incredible play.

 

I hope Callum Rydz wins it one year - I like the scruffy bastard.
