We desperately need another winger if we're only ever a barnes injury away from 352. Adam Ounas has a year left on his Napoli deal

Kepa is 100 times better then Ward mate! Ward will cost us a lot this season.

Having Ward in goals has gone under the radar a little hasn’t it? He don’t look much good at all so far.

He has got rubbish playing in front of him, but some of the goals we’ve conceded are the type that Schmeichel would have probably kept out

Wasn’t sure where to put this but if Fofana leaves, Tanner says “Edmond Tapsoba at Bayer Leverkusen has been on Leicester’s radar for a long time, while Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile is also believed to be of interest.”

I don't watch much European football but it's refreshing / exciting to see us linked with young players who seem to be established starters at established clubs.

Hopefully we get sales done in time to use the money elsewhere. Really keen for us to add some steel / professionalism at the back and a spark up front.

Seems bonkers to still be waiting for the first dominos kickstarting our business to fall in late August, but I guess there's nothing we can do about that now.

Can't get my head around this! Our approach seems madness to me! Surely we buy BEFORE we sell. Especially now that we have had firm offers.

Tell Chelsea they can have Fofana for £75m. Go and by our new CB for up to £30m (lots of them out there). Get them through the door - then proceed with the sale of Fofana.

Appreciate its a new development in terms of us potentially having to soften our resolve, and let Fofana go, but it's a crazy way to do it, to sell WF and then try and spend the money.

Doubt it is a turnstile type thing, multiple things will be going on at once. You can prep a deal for a replacement, say with Leverkusen.  whilst still discussing the sale of WF with Chelsea

I really want us to go for Josh Bowler.

When Fofana goes I think either Solet or Wober from Salzburg would be perfect.

Youri replacement we should go for Carlos Soler.

A decent and cheap wide option would be Nicolas De La Cruz.

I understand the logic, and in some ways we have done that historically. Soyuncu was bought well before selling Maguire and Soumare was probably intended as the Tielemans replacement (until KDH's unexpected breakthrough made him unneeded).

But doing it with the expected Fofana money seems like we'd be one medical away from breaking FFP. Teams like Man City get away with that. Teams like Leicester don't.

In the current situation, we have to guarantee money in before spending it. I'm pretty sure we will currently be lining up deals should the Fofana / Tielemans / Soumare deals go through.

I genuinely can't believe it's a process that is so 'time barred', if you know what I mean?

I'd imagine, as long a s the books are balanced at the time of financial year, to make declarations, then all's good for FFP

Yes definitely.

What I meant is we could be pretty banjaxed if we gamble on spending money on the assumption of a transfer that might not come through.

E.g. we pro-actively invest an agreed Fofana fee and his saved wages... but then Fofana has a car crash and breaks his legs en route to the Chelsea medical!

Very true. Quite a rare occurrence however, which would be an insurance job. I guess youi're looking at the type of situation with that fella who died on route to Cardiff

With PSV out of UCL maybe the asking price for Madueke has dropped a bit?

He's injured and not expected back until next year.

Perfect for us... yada yada... etc.

...I would not be surprised, but as I said before, his injuries are mounting and it has now become more of a risk to bring him here!!!

He had a short campaign last season and at the start of pre-season, he picked up an ankle injury in training which is going to keep him out for some time.

Imagine the terrible and overpriced centre backs we could end up with if Fofana goes now , we will get absolutely taken apart

If we start negotiating now, perhaps so

Need more strong personalities and leaders in the squad. The players we’ve been linked to recently are all soft weaklings.

That's how Rodgers loves em
