Please spread the word and join a 70th minute clap for Bobby Moore who sadly died last week.

A top bloke, popular guy with razor sharp wit and a loyal Leicester fan home and away since the 60s. One of many sad losses recently. L block won't be the same without him.

RIP Bobby

Sorry for your loss, I did not have the pleasure to meet Bobby but sounds like a great guy and a top supporter, I will spread the word for the 70th minute applause.

here's to hoping we can pick up 3 points for the heroes like Bobby, Liam and Bernie and do them proud.

Foxes never quit

I never personally met Bobby but always stopped and took notice when Bruin posted on Bentleys Roof. I remember him being surprised that I knew the nickname of Gordon Banks (had to admit my Dad told me!). I knew that he was a big Derek Doogan fan and he was a hugely popular personality. Sadly missed. Rip.

I would like to arrange that LCFC fans applaud my brother Bob for his magnificent support over 7 decades. In that time, he has visited a stunning total of 142 grounds watching Leicester City.

The first match he missed in the last 9 years, was Legia Warsaw away.

Bob was loved by all who met him and in return he loved them. Please stand and clap him throughout minute 70 of the up coming home match against WHU.

I would really appreciate if we could sing: “Two Bobby Moore’s, there’s only two Bobby Moore’s!” Hopefully we can get the West Ham fans to join in.

Thanks for your help!

142 grounds that's got to be a record?

What a fella, amazing to think he was probably at just about all of our first games. 👏 🙌

My condolences to Bobby’s family. I’m too far away but I’ll stand and applaud in front of the Telly on the 70’ mark I can only admire the dedication he showed over the years to go to every game & ground! That’s impressive for any fan

Phil Moore, what a guy. Even while grieving, he’s still out there making people chuckle. I’ll do my part to spread the word about the fantastic tribute he planned.

After we beat Man City 1-3 in 2016, I was briefly interviewed outside the Etihad by a television reporter— we were all going nuts and I didn’t think much of it at the time, I just wanted to soak up the feeling, then get back to Leicester to keep the party going.

About 18 months later, a friend of mine remembered he saw me on a special in the States and had recorded it— turns out I made a brief appearance between snippets of Phil and Bobby. Neither one of them knew the other was interviewed at all as they both took separate ways home.

It’s wonderful that there’s a video out there of Bobby and Phil on cloud nine after such a defining game during that magical run.

Every now and then I watch it again and it cheers me up so much— thank you, Bobby, for being a part of such a cherished moment that I’ll rewatch for the rest of my life!

I've organised a collection in Bobby's memory on Bentleys Roof where he was a regular poster.   Here's the latest update on how donations can be made:

Bump for further update. A further 5 generous donations via PayPal have taken the current total to £620 (from 43 donors). I would hope that we can raise substantially more than this in Bobby's memory - I'm aware of a fair few people who have promised donations and not just those from some of the 120+ folk who posted so movingly on the 'RIP Bruin' thread.

"A reminder of how you can donate:

1. Via PayPal to me at [email protected] using the 'Friends and Families' option to avoid PayPal taking a cut.
2. In person tomorrow. I may make it to Kings before the game for a swift one but if I don't Soho will be there and has kindly agreed to receive any contributions to pass on. I'll definitely be in the Globe from about 2-4pm, will be in the L1 concourse at half-time and will be in Kings after the game too. I'll be similarly available at the Randers FC game next Thursday.
3. Via post - I'll send out my address if you email me at the address above.
4. If none of the above are convenient then in person at Bobby's funeral(date yet to be set as far as I'm aware).

The intention is to give all the monies to Bobby's wife with a very small deduction to pay for a plaque on the Bentleys bench.

Again, many thanks to those who have given so generously and similar gratitude in anticipation of many further donations.

Don't forget the 70th minute chant tomorrow “Two Bobby Moore’s, there’s only two Bobby Moore’s!”

BLUE ARMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Many thanks in anticipation.

Surorised no one has asked about his season ticket.

Used to have  Georide work for us and the family still used his grandads long deceased season ticket he would have been 118 years old,

Sounds like a proper dedicated fan well doen
