Got my ticket, gone for the upper tier.

How long have they been doing that thing where you can’t just pick any seat if you’re just getting a single ticket ?

For quite some time. Annoying, isn’t it?!

Just a bit. Shows how long it’s been since I last went an away game.

I can buy now but am gonna wait until tomorrow evening when I can buy my mate's too.

I make it just over 700 left but with the caveat that 300 were "reserved" by the club. So maybe just under 400 actually sold?

Lower tier with the other nuisances - looking at the seating plan, you can defo fit more in that away end but they are restricting it

Happy with that. Means people can congregate where they want particularly if both upper and lower are the same concourse.

Is it unallocated seating as my mates are on sale now and ours tomm at 8??

So far I have been Warsaw, Napoli & Randers and people stood where they like, at Randers even the stewards didn't know the row numbers, think that's why the atmosphere at Randers was first class.

So, i have done some research to save others the hassle and have put together the following.

Entry Requirements

In order to enter France, you must be classed as Fully vaccinated. Those who aren’t fully vaccinated will not be able to enter the country to watch Football!

To be considered fully vaccinated, you must comply to the following;

  • Have received both Jabs AND your Booster (Only 1 Booster needed)

OR

  • Have received the second dose of a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca) at least a week before arriving in France, but no more than nine months ago.
  • Have received a single doese vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) at least 28 days before arriving in France but no more than 9 months ago.
  • Have received the first dose of vaccine at least a week before arriving in France AND you have previously had COVID-19 at least 11 days ago and within the last 6 months.

So, to answer some of the common situations;

- You only need to have had 1 Booster.

- There is no expiry on the Booster.

- If your jabs were before Mid June, you will need a Booster.

- No Jabs = No Travel.

- If you plan on using "I've recovered from COVID in the last 6 months" then you still need to have had your first jab.

Those who haven’t had any jabs will not get in to the country, no if’s, buts or maybes.

Documentation

You must have both of the below if you are aged 12 years and above;

1) Proof of Vaccination - France will accept UK proof of vaccination / recovery which means the NHS app that we would usually use will be fine for this trip.

As always, don’t rely on the availability of internet / WIFI at the airport. Save your Vaccine certificate on your phone before you leave, or, better still, print it off and keep it with you for your trip. Watching the walking dead try to load up their pass at the arrivals desk is neither exciting, or practical, especially as we will all want to be out of the airport ASAP!

2) Sworn Statement (déclaration sur l’honneur) - Simply print it off, fill it in and keep it with you throughout your time in France. You could be asked for this at any time when it comes to hospitality etc.

Other Useful Information

  • Face masks are still common place in France.
  • If your flying to Nantes, there are shuttle buses every 20 mins running between the Airport, Train Station & City. Buses are located outside Hall 2 at the airport and cost 9 Euros per ticket.

  • I don't believe Passenger locator forms are required if you are fully vaccinated unless anyone can tell me differently.

I read that a PLF may be required. However, they are usually checked by the travel operator before departing so worth double checking. Not sure anyone checks these anymore. I have filled one in just in case, takes 5 mins.

Yes, 12-17 year olds who are unvaccinated can travel with a fully vaccinated adult as long as they produce a negative test (and they need the sworn declaration form too).

Going with two mates both not boosted. One of them 2nd dose in Nov and the other in Aug so looks like they will be ok!

9 months will take you to June max.

Yep, both will be absolutely fine. Like you say, it's people who's 2nd jab was before around Mid June that would need to have the booster. :)

Don't want to sound like mother but I suggest everyone takes out a £5 travel insurance just in case the airlines pull services or what not either because they can't get fuel or to stem losses. Fuel situation getting pretty mad by the day, my industry is in meltdown.

Do you need a PLF when entering back in the UK?
