I still can't believe how fickle you lot are.

Before the Watford game, it was 65/35 in favour of levein, and now after 1 result it has totally reversed. Staggering.

I don't normally agree with you FNQ, although I can tell that you speak from the heart , but you're dead right here.

My opinion hasnt changed, I did say in a post yesterday that my support of CL had changed but that it was probably down to the disappointment of only coming out with a draw after looking like all three points were in the bag. Im ok again today, no point sacking him it will achieve nothing at present.

It's not a reactionary thing, I just genuinely don't think that CL is the man to take us forwards. I believe we have a couple of options, we can replace him altogether, or bring someone in to help him out a bit. I doubt he'd accept having another tactician in, which really is where we fail a lot of the time, but perhaps an attack minded specialist coach/motivator?

Thats Leveins job as far as iam concerned, if he can't do that then he should go its not exactly something you can learn is it. plus bringing in somone else would only send out the wrong message to the players and fans alike 'i cant cope with the pressure

Let's get this straight. I have nothing against you. It's just The People's Hero has been having little digs at me for weeks and i'm fed up of it. I do not like it. Even if he is joking, he must know by now that i don't like it, so stop doing it! I have never insulted anybody who didn't insult me first. Kisnorbo is not shite- he wins the tackles, he has stopped giving the ball away and he's ok in the air. I gave a reason for liking Kisnorbo, you just call him shite! But yes, i would prefer Hughes in the middle. I didn't say he de Vries was amazing, he was about our 4th best player on the night. He DOESN'T give the ball away, he starts WINNING the headers and he's good at holding the ball up and passing it out wide. He also puts a lot of effort in. Did you see him having a go at Sylla for not closing down the keeper. de Vries ended up doing it even though Sylla is quicker and was nearer at the time. I like De Vries.

I am going to strongly disagree with you about Kisnorbo. 'He has stopped giving the ball away' are you having a laugh? I counted about a dozen times on tuesday where Kisnorbo gave the ball away for no reason and one absolute beauty where he'd got the ball in the centre of midfield and had several options ahead of him but chose a 30 yard racking pass to absolutely nobody in blue and the Watford player collected the ball nicely and went on a run. Remarkable stuff.

I remember that one, it woyld have been up there with a Gerrard or Beckham pass if it had been to a blue shirt, the Watford player in question must have thought he smelt because there wasn't a LCFC player within 15 yards of him.

It was weird and confirmed to me that Kisnorbo isn't the full ticket and never will be. He hasn't got the footballing brain or talent to play at this level. Did Levein get him from Ozzie Rules Soccer? I heard a rumour he did, well that explains it. He wasn't even a footballer before Levein felt sorry for him.

1. I called the Chimp a Primate (you get it?) IF he was insinuating I dont go to football matches ( so quite cleary not a racist comment... you Muppet :D:D ) I take it your taking the piss (as usual) any way.

I should have made it clear that I was referring to The People's Clown and not you Manwell, also, I saw straight away that your 'primate' reference was aimed at my forum name so couldn't in any way be construed as racist. Is that all settled now?

What? I'm agreeing with FNQ on something? Surely this can't be?

It's not one game DavieG. I think a lot of people have been concerned with Levein's selections and tactical eccentricities for ages now but wanted to give him the benefit of so many doubts. In the end they've just become so frustrated at seeing points being sacrificed on the alter of daft decisions that they've collectively turned against him.

I actually think it's coincidence that so many have drawn the conclusion that it's time he went at the same time and all are mindful that we're around the halfway point in the season and really need to start producing better results from better performances and that will only come from better management.

Maybe but it's only a few weeks including an international break when by a large majority people were saying he still needs time.

I guess my post was more in jest than anything, because my emotions could enter a yoyo competition at the moment, I actually enjoyed some of the Watford game :o I can well understand how people feel, just put it down to wanting to agree with FNQ for once ;)

Agree with you 100 per cent about the Watford match. For 40 minutes either side of half-time I watched some decent, productive football. It was only when Levein started getting involved with his bright ideas that things went awry.

Okay, so given that Smith had to come off as he was injured and Sylla and MDV were knackered and not pulling their weight, bearing in mind the options CL had available on the bench, what would you have done if you were in his shoes?

I'm not trying to prove any point here, just interested in opinions. I know what I would have done and it wasn't what CL did...

Sigh. Why is it that some people will use the slightest hook with which to criticise?

C'mon, I was asking for opinion on what others would have done in the same situation, y'know, to have a discussion about football. If I wanted cheap snipes and negative attitudes I'd hang out at the Counter-Strike forums more often...

Should be on the stage mate.

lol, now now, don't get touchy, if you can't deal with it don't dish it out. Anyway, enough of the personal snipes, eh? It's beneath both of us and I'm sure we'd have more fun talking about stuff that matters in this forum, that thing called football.

It was for talking about football that people are getting on my back for.

I do occassionally dish it out, where deserved, and can take it myself. I give as good as I get.

Anyway, I agree with you. It is beneath a lot of us to bicker like this.. I just get pis sed off with things at LCFC at the minute. I accept people will have other viewpoints, but Ben was slagging off everyone who didn't agree with his.. and he was saying we'd easily finish top 10.

Do we really have to start talking about football? :P

As a principal I would make as few changes as possible if my side was winning and then only for specific reasons.

Bearing in mind that we were dominating the match I would not wish to do anything which changed the strategic balance and rhythm of the side ie I would not wish to reduce the number of attack-minded players and would not wish the pattern of play to change any more than was unavoidable.

MDV is always knackered and there was never anything to gain from using Dublin. However there WAS much to lose as demonstrated by the sudden appearance of hoof balls which only gave Watford easy possession. So that change wouldn't have happened.

Sylla and Smith are out and out attackers and I would only have replaced them with attackers and as a last resort (which I accept was probably the case with Smith).

So that would have been the only change and although I'd have had Hammill available I don't think he was on the bench that night so I'd have put Hume on in the hole behind Hammond and MDV and made sure that one of the fast men (Hammond or Hume was aware of the need to make left-side width).

Tiatto, sadly, WAS capable of doing that job but was either mistakingly given a roving role or he showed his indiscipline by tracking back far too deep (where he irresponsibly upended an opponent or two while doing nothing useful).

So, in conclusion, one change, Hume for Smith which would have enabled us to keep pushing forward and meant we had to keep playing ball-to-feet possession football (with attitude).

i wasnt critersinsing craig, you claimed he had a lack of options, if this was the case it was he own fault.

personally i would of replacedd mdv with hume as his pace against a tireing back line would have been leathal and he would of scored the chance dion missed, was hamill on the bench? if so replacing smith with him would have been the better option

At the moment, we have a lack strength depth and quality.

well I say that, the players CL will use all lack the above.

We really need to improve on last season, I don't see it happening.

We really need to see CL challenging for promotion next season, I dont see it happening.

it seems to me as though he doesn't have the wheeling and dealing qualities.

he perhaps doesn't enjoy that aspect of management, that would be one of my favourite parts, trying to find players and stuff.

he seems to look no further than the spl. Gerrbrand was a good signing though, perhaps he should learn from that and look at other players in the swedish league.
