I personally would keep Barnes - over the course of a season he does score a fair amount of goals, which will be a problem as our hero fades.

Kelechi - this is the one I fear will happen, and will regret the most.

Wes Fofana - appreciate it's going to be very difficult to hang onto this gem.

 

KDH of course, but I doubt we'll be looking to sell such a great prospect.

You've also got players who are coming to the end of there peak and will feature less regular

Kasper

 

I think keep the rest and add a few new players and a manager

 

Next seasons starting 11:

 

                Kasper/New Keeper or try Ward

Ricardo/Castange Soy/Fofona/Evans Justin/Thomas

 

              Nididi Maddsion KDH       Barnes/Lookman

 

                      Nacho/Daka/Vardy

 

Need a RW or 2  and a CB or two

The only ones I’d be gutted to see leave are Schmeichel and Vardy for longevity/sentimental reasons and Fofana, KDH and Maddison. The rest I wouldn’t be bothered if we sold as more than easily replaceable

Keep Schmeichel, Iversen, Justin, Castagne, Thomas, Evans, Fofana, Ndidi, KDH, Maddison, Vardy, Daka, Barnes, Albrighton, 

 

And probably Perreira.

 

Sign Lookman.

 

Have one of our academy trained keepers as number 3 keeper.

 

Sell Tielemans, Iheanacho, Soyuncu and Praet for decent fees. 

 

Get something for Choudhury, Mendy, Amartey, Soumareand Perez.

 

Get anything for Jakupovic, Vestegaard and Bertrand.

 

Refresh squad with two cbs, a dcm, a midfielder and a rw.  Give minutes to some academy players.

 

If the squad is to be refreshed, we need to move several players on.

I hope we keep Soyuncu and Castagne.

 

Soyuncu is a top player just lacking abit of confidence i feel.

Fofana, Ndidi, Maddison, Barnes, KDH are the five I consider totally untouchable.

 

I'm saying this without any emotional attachment, obviously I want players like Vardy, Albrighton, Evans and Schmeichel in the squad next season, but those four are all going to need to slowly be phased out as they come to the end of their peaks.

 

There's a second group of players who I really like and wouldn't want to move on except for very good money - Kelechi, JJ, Daka.

 

One of Ricardo or Castagne should be moved on for funds, but if we kept both I wouldn't be upset, they're both quality and likeable lads.

 

Soumare I want to give another season to establish himself - hopefully we sign some more young French lads to help him feel at home.

 

Then there's Thomas who I want out on loan next season, preferably in the prem but maybe one of the Championship sides pushing for promotion.

 

Ward and Amartey are great squad players, we should keep them for cup games and emergencies.

 

Youri, Söyüncü, Mendy, Perez are all fine players but it's probably time to move them on.

 

Hamza, Vestergaard, Bertrand, Jakupovic probably need to move on.

We need to get funds in this summer realistically to buy.

 

Deviating from the policy of selling one of our big players every season clearly hurt us last season. We should’ve sold Tielemans and/or Soyuncu when we had the chance.

 

I think only Fofana and Maddison is going to generate any real income this summer. I really don’t want us to sell either but equally we can’t rule it out. As much as I hate to say it, we’ve got to consider it if big offers come in.

With no European games we might not need a huge squad next season. I would build the squad around the following players: 

 

GK: Schmeichel, Iversen


Defenders: Justin, Castagne, Ricardo, Thomas, Fofana, Evans, Amartey


Midfielders: Ndidi, KDH, Maddison, Braybrooke, Soumare*

 

Attackers: Vardy, Daka, Iheanacho, Alves, Albrighton, Barnes


Good mix of players for the first 11, squad depth (Amartey, Albrighton) and youth (Braybrooke, Alves).

 

*Either give Soumare another year to adapt or keep Mendy/Choudhury for another season but lose them for free in 2023.

Why is Fofana being mentioned as a possible sale? Signed a 5 year contract about a month ago and only just back from injury. We will have at least 2 more seasons to enjoy him.

Not good enough yeah let’s go sign Neymar for the left, Barnes is plenty good enough and when he isn’t in bad form he shows it often enough

yea I agree bit of weird opinion that is, he was just getting into flow before his injury and his stats have been pretty good over the last few seasons, plus he will only improve still young.

Depends how often this form is displayed tbh, no passengers for too long no matter where they are from.

But unless your a top top player which we aren’t able to have a team full of then you’ve got to except they won’t be on form all the time, if Barnes played at his best every single game we wouldn’t keep hold of him
