Just pay off his contract and hand deliver him to whoever wants him. Door to door white glove delivery. End this madness!

If he’d got anything about himself he’d know his time here is more than done - it’s difficult to think of a more disastrous player for us ever - never welcome back

One can but pray we shall never see him again but...he is like one of those old universal monsters that you think is done and then it comes back...:colder:

No doubt Ward is total crap. But,  you can't put the blame on him. The managers who played him are at fault, Rodgers was culpable on that.  The fact we signed him it the first place for such a ridiculous fee shows where the true blame lies. The same idiot who has continues to make lousy decisions on signings is the reason we are where we are.

RVN basically confirms he’s dropped him due to the situation then? Did I hear that right?

Yep. I rewound it and that's what he said.

I can't help but think that Ward's got massive confidence issue going on. Seemed cryptic but also clearly something happening

I do wonder if there are mental health issues going on as well considering RVN's comments last week. Not having him within 100 miles of Anfield might be as much for Ward's sake as the team's.

Yes, he was actually a decent goalkeeper when he was at Liverpool.

Something clearly isn’t right and it’s impacted his on field performances. It’s easy to forget, football players are human as well.

well he needs to take some of the blame, as the managers/players/fans put a certain bit of faith in his abilities between the sticks and frankly hes not repaid than in the league at all

and theres enough evidence to show any other keeper would have stopped some of the shots hes faced

Maybe it was because he didn’t play for 8 years, had no desire to improve himself and just happy to sit on bench cashing in his wage

I interpreted it as more about protecting him rather than performance. It felt like a subtle dig at the fans.

It was cryptic either way.

Honestly not convinced he was. He had a decent spell at Aberdeen, but then at Huddersfield, yes they won promotion, but with a negative goal difference and conceding more than relegated Wigan.

I agree with what you're saying , but surely the managers should have seen this, we certainly had other options  imo opinion he has always been the worst goalkeeper on the books.

Pat on the back to everyone who booed him then. Shame we didn't do it 2 years ago.

None of us faulted him as a number 2 under Kasper in fairness. And he gave a decent account of himself when he did play in the cup games and internationally for Wales.

Then not having any real pre season to start the season as a number 1 when Kasper left. It was a huge gamble and leap of faith but has pretty much tanked from then on for whatever reason. Even the attributes he was credited with have failed, looks a shadow of a goalkeeper let alone whatever we'd seen of him previous.

There is no way he was THAT bad before the relegation season, whatever anyone thinks of him. Maybe an overstatement of ability but I'm convinced something also isn't right psychologically or by attitude/application. It's a bizarre transfer story but in the best interests of everyone to cut this time as short as it needs to be
