Absolutely no chance.
lcfc278 Posted 4 February 2025 Posted 4 February 2025 Guarantee he's still in the Wales squad next month.

Guest worth_the_wait Posted 4 February 2025 Posted 4 February 2025 I watched the Arsenal v Man City highlights, and for a moment I thought that Danny Ward was in goal for Man City.

filbertway Posted 4 February 2025 Posted 4 February 2025 Hamza got a 4 year deal and Vest got a 3 year deal. Ward getting an extension for being a good lad seems incredibly possible. 1

fazzyfox Posted 4 February 2025 Posted 4 February 2025 How, just how, can he be one of the two most capable Welsh goalkeepers? Surely they could just strategically shave a sheep and stick a pair of gloves on it and that would be a better option. A child? Someone? Anyone? 1

He’s never had a game like iversen had against Everton in 22/23 or like Stolarczyk had against spurs last week, Bloke ruined himself when he decided he couldn’t be arsed to improve any aspect of his game and settled at picking up 50 bags a week because he had no ambition to ever be a number 1 2

Is Steve Cooper can be the top Welsh manager, why can't Danny be their top GK?

Which obviously he won't. Cos he's Shite!

Just think he's got a problem with mental pressure and probably overthinks everything, nevertheless that is a big problem when you're a keeper

Basically not a natural goalkeeper. Probably been well enough coached at Liverpool to somehow make himself a career as a GK.

He isn't though, he did have a good spell in the middle of that season if you remember. If you have an issue with pressure, you freeze, I'm just saying I think this was his issue. Remember when Joe Hart was the best keeper in the league, then he just fell apart? Pressure and confidence

Pressure and confidence Had two or three decent-ish games iirc. Away at Everton he was quite good. Maybe you're right, but I haven't really seen much to suggest he's even an ok shot stopper. Some of his attempts are quite strange and unorthodox, I'm thinking of Man United away in the relegation season. Who knows.

I only remember my thoughts at the time and I rarely miss a game, I remember Rodgers wasn't sure who to pick, Iversen was Preston player of the season.but Ward was more senior, supposedly he was going to let them battle it out, but that didn't happen, because I think Rodgers wanted the sack so.wasnt arsed if we lost
Paninistickers Posted 7 March 2025 Posted 7 March 2025 Dunno why now this came into my head but, the poor fella has had to ask TWICE to be dropped..Ask. ASK. FFS. After the Chelsea Chilwell debacle. Rodgers said something along the lines of 'he's a very honest lad and his own biggest critic' Then, obvs, after the Wolves debacle, pleading with the clueless Dutchman to drop him. Sometimes you just have to let these things percolate to really admire the scale of farce
