Finally, his faith in his keeper is starting to pay dividends. A clean sheet! One shot on target all game is what kept us a clean sheet, though Amartey did nearly set up a superb opening with that under hit back pass

Good job really because Ward didn’t even move. 1

He just stood there like his mind was elsewhere.

I wonder if Premier League have gone full snowflake. Everybody can get man of the match once per season to make it ‘fair’ like at kiddies training. Or… today, Danny Ward decided that he identified as MOTM 😂😂😂 1

Lambert09 Posted 18 October 2022 Posted 18 October 2022 I still think he's utter tosh, but hes not jumped out of the way of anything in the last 2... which I guess is an improvement. He's not good enough but he is better than he's shown us so far. If we can get a bit of confidence in him he will improve... but then again thats a low bar to reach. We need a few big performances to help us shift him in the summer. If we can avoid relegation, one mega game against a big side could be enough for us to fool some promoted side to sign him

lcfc81 Posted 18 October 2022 Posted 18 October 2022 He seems to have really slow feet meaning he dives late/slowly and then gets beaten by shots he should save. Very frustrating to watch but hopefully it's just early form and by game 38 we are singing his praises.

Ian Nacho Posted 18 October 2022 Posted 18 October 2022 Even though he had sod all to do against Palace, it was the most assured he has looked all season (which isn’t saying much). Looked more confident with the ball at his feet.

Tielemans63 Posted 20 October 2022 Posted 20 October 2022 I've been massively critical of Ward but he's been very solid tonight. Well played Danny. 2
wardyfox86 Posted 20 October 2022 Posted 20 October 2022 Very good tonight. Quick off his line and collected a few crosses. Kick on from here now. 1
Popular Post Beachyboy Posted 20 October 2022 Popular Post Posted 20 October 2022 Ward has had a lot of criticism but the guy probably hasn't played 11 games in the last 4 years, let alone a season, it's started very shaky, with a leaky defence in front of him, 3 clean sheets in the last four, he looked visibly more confident tonight, let's hope this is the turning point. 6
phoneticerror Posted 20 October 2022 Posted 20 October 2022 I’m Ward’s biggest critic as some of you will know. He impressed me tonight.
