Well played the ladies. Thoroughly deserved, played some really nice football, and if we could finish, we could have won that game by Seven or Eight!

Massive improvement and really encouraging signs for next season, if the club invest well enough. :appl:  :scarf:

Improvement on last season on all counts: 1 more goal scored, 5 less conceded, 1 place higher with 3 more points. If we can avoid being bottom at christmas next season though that'd be nice. With Bristol coming up, good chance to make it 4 successive WSL seasons but need investment to keep/replace Nevin and Leitzig + get in a goal scorer, because we had the chances today to score 6 or 7.

First thing the club need to do is do everything they can to keep Leitzig

Even if it is for another season on loan it is massively important they get her back

Suppose it depends on what Bayern have in mind for her. Hopefully they're happy to let her gain more experience with us.

Got to think some other WSL clubs will be sniffing around.

The stats since she came in are incredible. She's top of virtually every measurement - save %, number of saves she's been the difference.

Without doubt Leitzig has made a big difference. We must do all we can to keep her. Next priority has to be a striker who can score!

Seen so many games this season where we have been the better team yet come away with nothing because we couldn't score!

If we get our priorities right we could easily finish mid table or above.

Well done ladies see you next season.

Well done to the ladies at least they have the fearless attitude. Wife said they should be given the new training ground, I said no let not give them bad JuJu 😂

I wonder what ancient burial ground it's built on? :P   (Everywhere is a burial ground if you go back far enough in history, right?)

Great day yesterday, could’ve/should’ve scored a lot more & probably said that too many times this season but we got there! Nice to tick Broadfield off as well, rare 100+ away following too

...Morgan now gone to Sheffield United, having left Burnley  in February, 16 games unbeaten!!!

It did seem same strange that he left that role, when they were in the top three most of the season. He was never listed on the Burnley website as the manager but was always referred in dispatches as the Burnley manager.

Lydia Bedford has been appointed mens U18 coach at Brentford.

First female coach to head a mens Premier League side at the top 3 age levels.

Hope the budget doesnt suffer because of the mens team relegation as it needs investment to push on.

..our failure to get the top 4, did result in monies being withheld from the ladies' side!!!

They may have changed this reliance on the men's team, but their success previously impacted the Women's team.

And this is the part of having a women’s team that I don’t like… it’s so unfair that their income is based on our achievements. They should have their own budget in their own rights.

it is possible however that right now that their are not a viable business/ not money-making  to do that. And I hate to use that phrase but I guess that’s the reality

...I think that it will take time for them to build self-sufficiency, and monies are ring-fenced for them now it seems!!!

The statements coming out of the women's team are, that we are looking to buy players rather than take on loan players for next season. That I hope means better quality and we can build long term.

The fact that most of the LCFC girls academy teams were axed at the end of this season suggests they have been given cost saving targets going forwards. Unless the idea is to pump this money into buying new players for the woman's squad ..?!

Sophia Poor just announced on Instagram she's leaving LCFC. Looks like she's off to Valencia. She put in a great performance for England U17 against Spain recently. Hopefully she'll be back.
