In my experience after playing a game of football, I can’t await to take off shin pads and get something more comfortable on my feet.

They've only got to walk round the pitch once. Can't be too uncomfortable!

Your feet in most cases literally feel like they on fire when you play in warm weather.

Alongside that, opposition get their opportunity to say thanks and rest of squad plus Top can get down from the stands

Peak Foxestalk lol

I genuinely thought he did before the match. You know when the team do their little warm up run thing (I’m sure there is a more technical term) at the corner by SK4? He meandered over earlier than usual and clapped us for quite some time. Felt like he was taking it in one last time before moving on. And I thought Kasper looked a bit emotional during the lap of appreciation.

All my interpretation of course. Would love to be wrong and keep both.

Mate, not having a go at all.

Just pointing out this forum at its finest, complete opposite views.

I could say today was Sunday, which it is, but someone could swear it was was Wednesday!

LOL I know you’re not having a go - I smiled at the conflicting replies below my post too 😂

Just explaining why I thought what I thought to see if I’m still alone.

Appreciate your interpretation of things.

I kind of zoned out since the Conference semi final.

But I'll be entering the season ticket ballot and am dying to be there next season!

Probably need my head testing, but you know, one of those things that you can't stop...

I’m already bored and the season has been over for less than 3 hours 😂🤦‍♂️

If only we had a World Cup to look forward to this summer.

Hang on a minute lol

Perez didn't overly celebrate his goals and the guy in front who seems to have a little bit of an in said he and Choudhury are on their way. I did notice last week that Perez's house in Houghton had a sold sign up.

Seemed odd at the end when the players, having gone in, came back out with families to walk round etc. My son and and I commented that Schmeichel walked round ahead on his own clapping and acknowledging the fans but wasn't upbeat and smiling and looked quite sombre. My son thought he was a bit tearful.

Fofana made great effort with some of the kids, playing with them in the goalmouth playing goalkeeper and letting their shots in, seems a real nice happy young chap.

Overall it felt a bit strange like the end of an era? Didn't seem quite like the same Leicester City, can't quite put my finger on it tbh.

Rodgers on the radio was uninspiring I thought. All about finances and embracing the usual media mantra about little Leicester City etc. Someone needs to tell him about little Leicester City winning the Premiership without a pot to piss in compared to Manchester City and about building a team and not just a group of individuals. Aim high and you can fight to get high and occasionally achieve something, aim low and accept your lot and that's what you'll achieve. That piss pot team also got to the Champions League quarter final by 'having a go in their own way' and not by just trying to be a poor version of someone else.

Supporters need to be able to dream and be encouraged. This guy is just covering his own back all the while. He's like one of the Dementors out of Harry Potter, just sucks the joy out of everything 😁

It wasn’t just me picking up on this then

I thought it was just us tbh and didn't know whether to mention it? Probably an odd season after covid and a few injury problems etc. I'm also one who's not known for my kindness to Rodgers in posts in fairness so I could be biased. However, I've clapped them off for years on the last day, some of them crap seasons too, but always clapped them off with an air of optimism for the next season. Today was different for the first time somehow. I just find it very difficult to trust Rodgers and his agenda. I do fear a little bit for our future.

Just want to clear something up.

My reply that got deleted earlier 'he's a big biy' was a complete mistake. I thought I was replying to a comment about Top looking disappointed and not Vichai.

A genuine mistake through not paying attention.

Apologies

I was trying to get clues from body language today. I definitely agree with you about Perez and Choudhury. Also Soyuncu, but less sure about Tielemans or Schmeichel, who weren't giving much away.

- Perez seemed to hardly celebrate his goals at all (2 great finishes) - like players do when they've scored against a former club. After the match Ricardo went over to him a couple of times, giving him big consolatory hugs

- Soyuncu was walking ahead of everyone on the lap of appreciation, looking a bit emotional and applauding in a way that seemed to be saying goodbye.

- Choudhury was dragging along at the back of the pack during the lap and gave a sort of resigned-looking wave in response to the "one of our own" chant.

Of course, I might be misreading things - and, more to the point, an expectation that a player needs to move on doesn't necessarily mean that it happens, if nobody suitable comes in for them or nobody offers a suitable fee or wages.

Yes, I forgot to mention Soyuncu, I totally agree with you. I'd miss him and think it would be a mistake to sell him but, depending on who we're after, probably he's a sacrificial lamb as he's seen as a saleable asset likely to bring in some funds.

Getting rid of Soyuncu means we have to change the lyrics to the ‘f**k off Maguire’ chant. Keep him.

That’s the first time anyone’s praised my eloquence in the 17 years I’ve been on this forum so I’m taking that.

His comment was an open goal. I’m very proud of myself for not responding 😂
