Definite improvement but you only need to have a glance over to the east stand for evidence as to why we've got such a general atmosphere problem. No pockets of intermittent singers, just 10,000 sat in silence for the majority. 

 

We've lost our way as a fanbase- the more that can be done to reverse it, the better.

This is the funny thing. People will slag off the section but not the thousands to the right and left of them sitting doing absolutely nothing at all.

I thought it was very good. A definite improvement, couple of things though. Why move the drum from the back to the front? Drums should be at the back, that’s how drums work else the drum overpowers the singing, why does every rock group, orchestra and anything else involved in making sound always have the percussion at the back? The other thing, there were quite a few pissed off fans when the second goal went in and the singing section carried on as nothing had happened. Fans need to wallow in their misery for a couple of minutes, not be subjected to louder cheering and singing

Well, part of the aim of it is to give the players that extra edge in moments like that when the chips are down and when the whole ground needs a lift. It's not that long ago that you'd get an almost immediate roar of encouragement if we conceded a goal.

Bit harsh on the last point, lord knows there's already enough wallowing around the KP at pretty much all moments. Usually when more than one pass goes along the backline 'gerrrit up and gerrin to em!!!' goes the roar as 1000s of fans expect a 5'7 Jamie Vardy to win a hopeless punt upfield against two 6ft+ centre backs.

 

After we've conceded is exactly when you'd expect a singing section to start singing and give the players some encouragement. Instead we usually have 20k fans with 'prior commitments' running to the exits to get home in time for songs of praise

Good picture.  The placement of that section still seems odd to me, but it's a start.

Stewarding of the lower part I felt was good, was that the same towards the back?

Noticed it was a new firm mainly. Showsec, this new one and the clubs on stewards so high in numbers.

no problems where i am about mid way up. had one right next to me for the whole game

Yeah they are running for the exits to get away from the inevitable last-minute opposition goals against us. Songs of praise seem very welcoming after that shilo from rogers.

In that case as Neil Harris once amazingly and hilariously said to a group of Millwall fans leaving early at a game i went to at the Den - 'leaving early arrr yaaa... got that much faith in our boyz ave yaaa...well faaaark off to palace if thats owww much ya care!!!' Just here to say that goal music is absolutely abysmal unless it's done by European fans with accompanied tifos. It's then class and something our club could only ever dream of.
