Just seen the goals. Good quick thinking from Maddison for Daka's, and nice strike by KDH for his.

What is Iversen doing for their first and  Amartey doing for their 3rd lol

Iversen should have just come out and at least challenged for it. Very hesitant.

Amartey regularly does that and it scares shit out of me.

Is it so much that Praet wants to leave or that Rodgers wants him to leave?

Does anyone know?

There’s nothing I see in Praet that would make me absolutely want to sell him? He’s every bit as good as Perez for instance.

He just wants to play regularly

Like our money perhaps?

So you picking up the 130m debt?

Maybe look into how much Top family have pumped into LCFC over the years.

If it was down to income from fans we would still be in the championship.

You seem to be letting sentiment get in the way of the club potentially getting relegated all because to put the brakes on spending?

If it was naivety like this then we surely will be back in the championship.

Some fans need a wake up call.

...not sure there was much Iversen could have done for their first goal!!!

Once the ball had broken and found its way to Taamari, on his left foot, the whole goal opened up for him. JJ had anticipated that the Leuven player would have controlled the pass so he went to close him down. The player's subsequent mis-controlI meant JJ had his weight on the wrong foot and and he was unable to get across in time to close down Taamari. Iversen was at fault for the second, totally misjudged the ball and the defender would gave expected him to have dealt with it.

Do you mean the 2nd? If you do, I think his positioning was spot on, 99% of the time the ball would come through to him. I guess the pitch must have been bone dry though as the ball just ended up holding up.

There's no point charging out of your box and trying to readjust and getting into a situation that often leads to a clash of heads in a friendly either.

That's just one of those unfortunate situations that you find yourself in as a keeper where the bounce doesn't go as expected and to the untrained eye it looks like a massive gaffe.

That's the funnest thing I've read in a long time, whatever fans think or not doesn't change how the club operates :appl:

The ownership decide how the club operates not the fans.

Yeah sorry meant the 2nd.

I just think he could have committed more than hesitated. He did the right thing coming out but then stopped when I think he could have carried on and challenged.

It's a business first. Just like any business we must continue to invest first and foremost.

Investment does not just mean on the pitch.

As I say, once you realise the ball hasn't bounced through like it usually would, is it worth going in and throwning your head into a potential collision in a friendly?

Just one of those to chalk down to experience. Although as I say, 99% of the time, he's done the exact right thing and his positioning would mean the ball bounces through to him :D

I agree. But I think that the financing is different between the two.

It sounds like you want to gamble the clubs future and spend more than we can afford? Surely a fan of a team that nearly went bust 20 odd years ago wouldn't want that to happen again.

Look around you. Look at the clubs that have languished in leaugues 1 and the championship.

What are we building in terms of a 40k redevelopment stadia if not to attract fans to watch attractive football. That won't last long.

The owners are shrewd, and know what they're doing though. They don't just look at one season at time. I trust that they'll have plans and contingencies for the next 5-10 yrs way beyond the stadium expansion within the next couple of years.

I would also like to think they're planning enough to avoid a drop and languishing in Championship or lower.

unless of course they got into an argument and Praet said some questionable things..

I heard that Praet took a dump in BR's new car, slept with his daughter and called him an emu.
