Disappointing that we've not taken the opportunity to see how the young lads would do and instead choosing to play fringe players who's capabilities we're all aware of.

 

Doesn't make any sense to me.

 

Sounded a decent atmosphere and the game was played at a decent tempo and again, we clearly look much better with a back 4 than a back 5.

Because even though some of them are fringe players, if they stay and are in the squad next season we need them to be match fit

will we need to rotate? it will be mostly 1 game a week, 5 subs may be the bigger deciding factor

Keep Praet - bin Perez.

Bin Nacho - loan striker

Bin Amartey - new CB.

Bin Iverson - invest in development squad goalies after schmeichel/ward.

Bin soumare - keep mendy + new DM. Keep Ndidi - bin choudhury.

Bin deadwood including for Vestergaard and Bertrand. 

 

This season is going to be, imo, shockingly dissapointing for fans because we'll end up in bottom half at this rate.

 

I don't care whatever anyone says. The reality is that WE DONT NEED TO SELL PLAYERS TO RAISE FUNDS TO BUY MORE. We have more than enough wriggle room, ffp included, to get the players we need in, and then focus on getting the other players moved on.

yes and no, Brendan had no intension of using some of them last season even when we needed them, Vestergaard for example was sitting on the bench whilst Wilf was playing out of position so unless he actually wants to use them it does seem pointless

There's absolutely no reason that Alves, Wright Braybrooke and Nelson couldn't have got 30 minutes today. No reason at all. We played 120 minutes. There was plenty of minutes there to give fringe/academy players a fair crack and get 30 minutes under their belt each.

decided to blame him for the west ham game. no consideration that it was his first game back from injury. no consideration for the fact we were in the situation because of ayoze, JM and co…. a purely egotistical move that he couldn’t accept he made the wrong calls on the day. 

 

one not needed as well as he should have thrown all the blame on the party boys on that day then moved on. He shouldn’t have been isolated after that, it was madness and i can see why praet would have been frustrated

Pleased for Praet, game time in his home town and he played well and worked hard. Great to see him back!

 

Enjoyed the game today and the squad is looking fit.  Valuable game time for everyone.

I genuinely think that the squad has become so bloated, that the hierarchy have lost focus in moving along the players I listed and have instead become obsessed with what to to about Tielemans and the other stars like Soyuncu etc who all have 2 years and less on their contracts. 

 

It's numbers over money and money over numbers. I love this club, but I think we've become soft when dealing with managing our sqaud and who is in it, and too slow in player signings on the flip side.

Fit fringe players will be easier to sell.

 

There's plenty of time and opportunities to get the Grads fit before they are needed once the season starts as they're not going to be playing 90 mins any time soon.

It's a good craic at any time of year, me and the rest who went over on the visit the club organised a few years back can attest to that! 

 

Pretty sure I was the only one out of 200 of us who could stomach the hair of the dog at the Stella Brewery on day two after the night before. lol

 

Ask Jim how he felt that morning next time you see him. :ph34r:

That was a well funny game. Bloke in front of me had 20 stellas so maximum respect there. Loads of people concerned about the result lol, it’s actually a training session. We only came here to drink beer
