It’s far worse to commit yourself like that on the edge of your 18 yard box when you’re the last man. Jockey, stay on your feet and delay. It’s basic defending 101.
Gazza M Posted 27 September 2025 Posted 27 September 2025 Last season we saw Faes and VK watch the ball and let it bounce under pressure rather than just dealing with it and it leading to goals. Last night reminded me why neither should be on the pitch. Faes nearly messed up at the letting it bounce on the 6 yard line and VK let a diagonal ball drift over him and beaten. Ball watching rather than tracking the man.
