In an attempt to get away from all the talk of our current predicament, I'd like to ask what is everyone's best NON TROPHY related memory. I'm on about specific memories at specific points in a game etc.

I'll start.

Sitting in the kop with my school freinds when Lilian Nalis hit that screamer against Leeds. Absolute cracking goal.

Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed it

I have a memory of a brilliant Steve Clatidge goal in a 4th round League Cup tie against Man Utd on our way to winning the competition, but I can't find footage of it anywhere!

Maybe the fog of time has it wrong for me, but I remeber a long ball being played up.  Emile Heskey jumps with his back to the ball and in mid air cushions the ball with his heel, right into the path of Claridge who, without breaking stride, hit it on the volley from 25 yards into the top corner.  Game finished 2-0.

Yes and Paul scholes blasted a penalty over the family stand.

So many over the years but this one keeps popping up in my memory bank. Just to piss off a 'We're better than you Arsenal' and the ping pong goal of Walsh's.

Keith Weller's white tights against Norwich. I think he also scored a decent goal in the match too?

Being in the Kop against Leatherhead in the FA Cup. Place was absolutely buzzing that day.

Well, the sands of time have passed since then! Are you shore we won 4-1?

Good old league one days, when you didn't have to shell out a load of money for a ticket!

You couldn’t give tickets away, it was 4-0 😂

Also madrid away in the champions league. Found a friendly quiet little pub out of the main centre, sat there with my mates, we’d grown up going down the City together over the decades, had families and lost people along the way. We sat in this pub, just us and one real madrid fan cheerfully watching on as we were singing all the old Leicester songs.  Great afternoon.

Always this one for me. Arsenal were brilliant in this game and it's one we got something out of through sheer bloody mindedness. Also loved being carried down the gangway in a surge in the days before that became terrifying

Semi final away v wimbledon. About 9000 of us there stood along one side of the ground and behind the goal. Proper boisterous atmosphere and great scenes.

Oh yes. There was only ever going to be one result, and we all knew it.

(If we're talking Selhurst 97)

Wednesday 23rd September 1992 at home to Peterborough in the League Cup. My first ever game.

The individual memory was walking into the stand and being in awe at the sound and smell of a football stadium whilst always being amazed at the size of the pitch (was bigger than Highcliffe's by some way...). Can't remember a thing from the match, but the moment of seeing the pitch is burned into my mind.
