In comparison to previous displays when the whole of the Kop has been incorporated into the display, not 50 lads in the corner waving blue bin bags.

You've seen the other displays just in the singing section yeah?

Or was yesterday your first game? :)

This in my opinion, is one of the bigger problems. Speaking as someone with a lot of leadership experience, sometimes you have to cause a bit of disruption and hassle to move forward in any organisation.
The players and the manager are repeatedly calling for more from the support and in its present form, there’s not a lot going to change.
It wouldn’t be that hard to plan and announce early a rejig, maybe offer some bonus or discount for loyal supporters  to move seats.

In the long term, if you create a plan and offer a 1% discount per season you’ve had the seat to move if the stand you’re in doesn’t suit what you go to football for. We could have a family stand, a sit and clap stand and a Kop end even if we are brave a safe standing zone too.

A big change is needed from above to make a difference, I’m just not sure that the appetite is there from those who can change thing.

Have to break some eggs to make an omelette…

It’s the first time I’d noticed blue bin bags being used to create a display 😉

Oh right, so you didn't see the Cov display, or the Watford FA Cup display, or the Sunderland display in 2015? They all used the same stuff :)

Like Voll said the link to donate is right there. You can set it up as a monthly direct debit if you're feeling really generous.

L1 has been dead for years and plenty on here can attest to that.

Not just dead, but at times deeply unpleasant.

Bit harsh on @Raj

I mean, fair - but still harsh

Mad to think Coventry's support is better than ours now.

That really is about as low as it gets for us. It's quite comfortable as well.

PS I wrote a great reply to this, came back on to re-read and laugh at my own joke, but the fun police have deleted it. Hope you read it in time!!

Ah well, serves you right for trying to laugh at your own jokes!   :)

I did read it, yeah.   But best to leave politics out of football threads in the first, don't you think?

It’s not in terms of numbers and size of fanbase, but aside from that would agree.

Hmm. Does ‘Enzoball’ mean not getting it forward then?

Can’t recall us getting it into their half much at all in the last 20. Mavididi barely had a kick.

I’d say the atmosphere was at its worst then because we had complacently handed Ipswich the initiative, they were pinning us back, and people were getting agitated and nervous about conceding the inevitable equaliser.

We conceded partly because we over commited up the pitch ffs

The moaning from the East Stand when players tried to get forward and take a man on but lost the ball was seriously embarrassing.

First time they open their mouths the entire game and of course it’s to moan.

Yea I remember that

Was unbelievable really, like the reaction of fans who are in a relegation zone............oh wait, they didn't open their gobs last season when we were going down the shitter

They might as well have though, the difference in noise is hilarious considering how much bigger we are as a club.

We have been much more successful than them though, I think if they'd have experienced what we have in recent years then their fanbase would be bigger. Their away followings have been good for several years now though.

A couple Wednesday fans I know said that Coventry's support was the best they've seen this season, I've seen this on a couple different other clubs forums too now. Not that I'm comparing but it's mad even when you consider what they've been through compared to us over the past decade.

See Coventry's goal and how mad their away end went. So different to us now.

With all these comparisons to Coventry it seems the answer is clear, disappear into obscurity for a few decades then surge back to mediocrity - The KP will be banging

Despite what some detractors would have you believe, the age range in the section is quite varied (not full of 17 year old WANNABE ULTRAS).
Me and my old man are down at the front of it, he turns 60 this year

My legs couldnt back it mate🤣🤣

I'd be recreating my youth though standing on the seats in Pen 2!!

I'm 50 and will be in SK1 with my two teenagers on Saturday singing our hearts out.

There's people older than me in there who sing more than some of the younger ones do.

Like you say, it's really varied.

It's interesting, because from where I sat, I heard a lot of UFS and couldn't hear a thing out of Ipswich.

I guess this proves true that the acoustics are very much a case of where one is positioned.

Guess so, I was sat in sk4 and it was really quiet like we were all zombies
